Bottom line, the room was clean. I checked. But the overall dinginess of the place left me with enough doubts that my bare feet never left touched the floor and I slept with lounge pants and socks on, just in case. To get to our second floor room, we walked up a steep stairwell into an oppresively hot hallways. The door had damage to it but was secure. It appeared that the room had been painted but the dingy rug and the cracked tiles in the bath just gave it a run down feel. Breakfast was a low quality carb fest served in a converted room on the ground floor. They kept the blinds drawn, I guess so you did not feel like you were eating in a fish bowl, but the dark, dingy room just felt odd. The bottom line is we got what we paid for. We were glad it was only one night and we were bone tired. Next time through, we will spend a bit more so I don't have to worry about the cleanliness.

In front of our room door there was a huge puddle because the gutter was broke and all the water from the rain was right at our doorway. Our door would not close all the way unless you lifted it to get it closed. The room smelled like smoke. We didn't have hot water in the morning to shower with. Was not worth my 100 dollars.
