in fairness we are regulars here but have never posted a review.....What we like, the wait staff are by and large excellent. while like any reataurant of this type, it ranges from summer students to professional waiters. They work well together as a team though as the more experienced without exception will step in to assist a younger person whether it be questions on the menu, wine list (or even opening a pesky wine bottle). We are always treated well. This is a direct result of the hands-on appraoch of the management. others have already mentioned patrick and his passion for wine. He has on two occassions come out to greet us knowing we were there based on the wine we ordered. We are the "Italian wine" people......We are always greeted by whoever is the floor manager and they always ask about our experience.
the food is consistently great. We have our favorites....Campfire fettucinni......Ribs......Garlic Shrimp appetizer.......Some people mention the bread and oil. the dipping oil is awesome....we do wish they would stop serving the doughy white bread and serve a multi-grain artisan loaf for dipping......The bread looks good but tastes more like wonder bread. However a MINOR issue in an otherwise wonderful environment.
They would benefit from a more professional host staff. Typical is a teen aged person who really hasn't a blessed clue......Once past the front desk thoughm, you are in for a great time
