The Bhaya cruise was perfect. The boat and all its accommodations was luxurious and the staff was amazing and attentive. The company is socially conscious and supports an organic farm and other initiatives to help the people and animals who live on the bay. We went to less busy parts of the bay and took interesting and beautiful day trips. I cannot recommend this group highly enough, especially Kevin, the manager of the cruise who was an exceptional leader, human being and master of ceremonies.

From the moment we boarded the boat with the drums beating. staff waving and greeting us, we were treated like royalty. The boat was clean & tidy, rooms were great, food was sophisticated & the staff were so friendly & accommodating. Plenty of activities on the boat to keep you entertained and “happiness hour” (1/2 price drinks) kept the drink bill down. We enjoyed squid fishing, a tea ceremony, kayaking, bike riding on shore, spring roll master chef competition & plenty more.

The only disappointment but not a fault of this cruise, was the rubbish in the water at Halong Bay. It’s not a place you want to swim in and our cruise staff made an effort to pick up rubbish where ever possible.

While the scenery is breathtaking the boat you choose will make the world of difference. We did a 2 night cruise & felt sad for those who left the boat after 1 night as they missed so much fun. An awesome cruise.

Our trip with Au Co Cruises, Gulf of Tonkin, was included with our main tour of Vietnam ,The Mekong & Cambodia, 23 of us had a great time. We were with other guests who had booked as independent travellers but we never felt cramped onboard.

We waited to board in the VIP lounge were we were served drinks & snacks.

Several trips were included with this cruise, Cua Van fishing village, Hang sung Sot caves and Bhaya Community Farm. All these were well organised with local guides from Au Co. Must mention Lily ( probably not correct spelling) this was her first trip as a guide.....she was brilliant. Our Cruise Manager was Zoe, a very helpful lady.

Life on board was relaxing, comfy cabin, good bathroom with walk in shower, balcony with table & chairs. There was a jacuzzi on the sun deck near the spa but sadly never found time to use it !!!

Restaurant was good, food was very nice, some buffet & some served by the staff. Bar had a good selection of drink choices & happy hour for an hour & a half !!! Wine was included as part of our main tour price.

Our tour company had also include some extra items for our group, including wine tasting & Vietnamese street food.

Loved these 3 days, would recommend this cruise 100%.

One friend has recommended me and I decided to go with my parents. We had such an amazing time in the cruise. Sam, Jay, the lovely girls Lee, Julia and the whole team did their best to provide us the best service. Delicious food and relax and funny environment. Strongly recommend it.
