“Pleasant Surprise”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

We booked a cruise to Halong Bay through our Hotel who upgraded us to the Au Co. Initially we were a bit apprehensive as had planned to go on a smaller boat rather than a cruise. We were pleasantly surprised and had a fantastic time. The scenery was just amazing and they had planned activities such as kayaking to a secluded beach for a swim, mountain biking on an island, and a tour through a floating village. They also had a cooking class on board and Tai Chi in the mornings on the top deck. All optional and no pressure to join in. The food was just amazing. Room was really nice, clean and had a lovely private balcony. What a magic way to begin our trip.

“Happy to Help”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

We recently had a cruise booked with The Au Co Cruises but due to a medical emergency prior to departure we had to cancel our cruise. All our contact with Andy has been both professional & he has demonstrated great empathy regarding our situation. We will be rebooking in the near future when we are able to fly again. Thanks again Andy.

An amazing journey on a great boat with the best crew. We were looked after like family & nothing was too much trouble. Food was exceptional & the seafood barbeque - amazing. Highly recommend to anyone. Nothing to fault only compliments

“Almost great”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Everyone should see this place before they die. Beautiful scenery, sunrises and sunsets, swimming, kayaking in still waters, and the quality of the boat, rooms and staff was excellent. Also, no screaming kids. What was missing was food (we want some authentic Vietnamese not just western), the trip from Hanoi was not good (slow, bad roads, crappy shuttle bus, and an unnecessary mandatory pit stop to milk you for tourist crap), and the price was steep at 700 per night not including drinks. Also, no fault of AU co but the government should use some of the tourist money and clean up the bay and fine people for littering, otherwise in 10 years it will look like a dump site.
