After the bad experience at holy cow, we ended up here. Nice and relaxing. Loved the historic feel of the inn. Food was good and we enjoyed our meal.

The breakfast buffet was only $4 extra with our room. Not worth much more. Biscuts and gravy was good, The sausage was microwaved, as was the bacon. The cinamon pastry was good. Service was ok, nothing special

We visited Artist Colony for dinner one night and after being seated by the hostess, we immediately left the restaurant. We rarely do that because it is embarrassing to walk out like that, but we could not stand how loud it was. The acoustics are horrible...banging dishes and talk from all over the restaurant. We were tired and didnt want to make a trip to Bloomington to eat dinner, but we were glad we did since we didnt waste our anniversary night in that environment.

The funny thing was, our Inn reserved us breakfast buffet at a local venue and guess where we had to return? Yep...Artists colony. We were pretty disgusted by the buffet. We are healthy eaters...whole grains breads, fruit, lean meats, eggs, juices for breakfast, so this was like being thrown into a fat and sugar vat. What we did eat tasted very 'artificial'. If I could recommend anything to the owners it would be to change that menu and have 'real food'! We have also paid for tomorrow's breakfast there, but we will def. skip it. It's just not worth how we felt after eating that stuff. At least offer some healthy choices (they did have fruit)!

After a day of shopping we chose to eat dinne at the Artist Colony. We ate on the beautiful porch. Everyone's food was delicious. I ordered the chicken pot pie and it was AMAZING...wish I had the recipe! This is one of our favorite places to eat in Brown County!
