My wife and I decided to get away on the spur of the moment. We decided to drive up to Brown County in Indiana. We are from Louisville, and it is a nice drive especially in the spring and fall. My wife ran across this Bed and Breakfast online. It was about 9 miles from Brown County and 4 miles from the historic town of Story, In. The drive was well worth it, and we were absolutely surprised to find this gem in the middle of nowhere. The house is set on 10 acres and has a small pond and creek on the property. Dirk and Teresa are the inn keepers and owners, and are the most hospitable couple. The house has 4 rooms available and we stayed in the largest of which is the Tabor suite. It has all the comforts you could ask for. Robes are provided in the room, and the bathroom was very large with a great shower. The bed is very comfortable and the room has 2 comfortable recliners in front of a small entertainment system which also has direct tv. It has an additional room attached with a day bed and sitting area. The first floor has a very nice screened in porch that you can sit out on anytime and enjoy the fresh country air. They also have snacks and drinks available around the clock. The breakfast was very good as well. They served waffles, sausage links, fresh fruit, coffee and juice. We sat in the breakfast knook and watched at least 50 birds at the bird feeders outside. All in all this place is just amazing. If you want to get away from it all and simply relax (btw due to the rural location of this property, there is no cell service. The innkeeper said that Verizon would work, but we had AT&T. There was a land line in our room), this place is just perfect.
