“Big Woods Brewing Co. was fun”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

We went with friends and wanted to sample the beers. That was fun and several beers were hits! We also ate lunch there and the food was very good. We would go back.

“Delicious!”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

This is a 21+ establishment located in town Nashville. We arrived and had a 10 minute wait, which we were able to (actually) enjoy in a waiting area they have on the side of the building with benches, menus, and bar service. We were quickly seated inside (although they have a very nice outdoor seating area) and had a delicious meal (burgers for both of us)! Lots of beer choices, although I was disappointed they didn't serve wine for the non-beer drinkers. Cute bathroom with a nice soundtrack that was relaxing and felt like I was outside!

“Pretty good in a town with limited choices”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

The chicken salad was pretty good. Wanted the summer salad but they were out. Kind of a trashy atmosphere down an alley with dumpsters. Close tables.

“Good food, Good Beer”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Stopped in on a lovely August Sunday for lunch. Had the pulled pork nachos, which were great, and a burger, which was also tasty. Husband, friend, and I split a $10.95 beer flight which included 5 oz pours of every single thing they had- all good (even the things I don't love, like super hoppy IPAs, were GOOD, just not my thing.) It is a VERY small place, so if it's busy be prepared to wait. I can see how service might suffer if they were slammed with people, but on this particular hopping Sunday everything came out the appropriate temperature and at a reasonable speed. We will definitely be back!

“Slowly Getting Worse”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

We have been loyal Big Woods Customers for 3 1/2 years and I can say with conviction that the quality of food, BEER and service is getting worse every time we go. We use to go twice a week then once a week now once every couple weeks if that. The food has gotten either sloppy, cold or missing what's suppose to be there so you have to ask for the rest. The service has just tanked. Two or three servers remain that are great servers the rest either have no clue, no personality or don't take the time to learn who you are for the next time. Now the beer.... This is my most disappointing spot. BW seems to be focusing on Mass Brewing instead of Craft brewing now! The beer has lost that edge on flavor it use to have. Hoosier Red doesn't taste like John's Red which was awesome. The stouts have been flat and less then stellar and the new brew master needs to back to Oaken Barrel. BW needs to refocus on what made it popular, the food, the exceptional service and the OUTSTANDING beers. I would stop by if in town, but don't wait for a seat.

Big Woods' goal is provide a great experience to every customer....old and new alike...everytime they visit. We believe our service continues to improve and that our kitchen staff is first rate. With regard to our beer, we are (and will always be) CRAFT BREWERS at Big Woods. While it is true that we have opened a larger production facility nearby (Quaff ON! Brewing), we still brew on the 4bbl system at our downtown location with the same brewer we starter with 4 years ago, our partner Tim O'Bryan. We think the beer is better than ever (as do most of our patrons) and we are very proud to have our new brewer, Mark Havens heading up our Quaff ON! brewing operation in Brown County.. All that said, we want to win this reviewer back, so when we get the opportunity, we'll do our best to provide the best Big Woods experience yet.
