“my once a year honeymoon”
Reviewed July 5, 2011

We were married august 2009 and spent our honeymoon there... it was amazing and magical... we are vegetarians, and they went above and beyond to accommodate us... then for our 1 yr we came back to celebrate (and brought a baby) we had the honeymoon sweet and it was even better the second time! I absolutely cannot wait to come back (baby with grandma) and spend our 2 year there!!! we are counting down the days. It is so peaceful, not annoying phones, TV, and a lot of time to walk, talk, play board games, and MORE ;) ! We tell everyone about this treasure!

Room Tip: all of them are great

This B&B sits out in a wonderful setting away from everthing next to a National Forest. The owners were gracious and enjoyed chatting a bit with Diane about the nature surroundings. My daughter and I sat out onfront porch rockers that evening after a day of shopping. then on the balcony from our room to enjoy a cup of coffee . We both kept remarking how quiet and loved seeing so many birds and the pond on the property. Thanks Diane for making us feel so right at home even just for the one nite stay. We will certainly try to come back again.

Room Tip: 2 queen beds/partial wall and balcony

Twin Oaks Lodge leaves you with that "Ahhhh" feeling. So very relaxing and peaceful surrounded by the Hoosier National Forest on three sides. We saw wild turkeys and bluebirds, the daffodils were lovely and plentiful, the porch a perfect place to watch the sun go down while enjoying a cup of hot tea.
Totally relaxing and just what I needed! The owners are looking to sell the B&B so if anyone out there is interested this place is a gem and a half!! So beautiful and really away from it all! Great dinner at the Story Inn too which is just down the road!
Nashville and Brown Co. State Park are easily accessible as well. All in all a great get-away!

We are repeat guests to Twin Oaks Lodge. Every time we have visited, it has been a pleasant experience. We look forward to the privacy and quiet of this location. Sitting on the porch and watching nature, sipping a fresh cup of coffee. We are always greeted warmly by the hosts and love the breakfast spread that they prepare each morning. We look forward each visit to reconnecting as a couple and go home refreshed.

We have traveled to this bed and breakfast every year and have never been disappointed. My favorite part was sitting on the front porch and looking out to the meadow. On my right was woods with multiple birds in the trees. It was a refreshing trip and it helped me to feel more relaxed since we live in Indianapolis. I am grateful that we still have places like this that respect nature and give us a chance to unwind. I am also grateful I don't have to clean up. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We loved the feeling of really getting away from it all when we stayed at Twin Oaks Lodge. Surrounded by the Hoosier National Forest on three sides, we felt we were in another world. Added to the quiet and peacefulness was the hospitality of the owners. So many thoughtful details in our room, the food was plentiful and good. We really would recommend this spot in the woods to anyone looking to escape from their ordinary life. We also loved seeing animals in their natural setting. Deer, wild turkeys and birds everywere... nature at it's best. Loved sitting in front of the roaring fire in the "Gathering Space", was very romantic.

Just want everyone out there to know that this b&b is a FRAUD. My husband and I made reservations for October 2010; however, due to an adoption we had to cancel 2 days after making the reservation and 50 days prior to our stay. The website said we had 30 days to cancel without penalty; however, they took 15% of the deposit and wouldn't return OUR money. They are crooks and I would not recommend staying where people are dishonest.
