“Sad but true”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

This was probably one of the worst dinning experience of my life. We knew it was going to be bad when my mom ordered the spinach salad and the waitress replied 'where did you see that - no one has ever ordered that before'. This was after already waiting 15 minutes for are drinks and one person in our party even received the wrong drink.

At this point it started to get really busy and we really should have just left. However we were really tired and we had a baby who needed to eat so we decided to stay.

It took about another 35-40 minutes for our food to arrive. We didn't have any cutlery but it was mostly sandwiches so we made do. My mothers salad didn't come out with any dressing on it and even when we asked it was never brought to the table. The food was average at best and I was still hungry when we left.

Also - this is the most annoying thing of all - twice they tried to set down hot beverages right in front of the baby!

When we were leaving we went to counter to pay and had a little chat with the manager about the service and salad dressing issue. She basically said these thing just happen and we are trying our best. The waitress was nice and somewhat apologetic about our situation but give the wait of the drinks and food and the fact that my mother ate a salad without any dressing we would have expected some sort of compensation. Evidently the manager didn't really care that customers were leaving unhappy. Maybe it's not the sort of place that expects a good deal of repeat business as it is in a highly touristic location.

We will be visiting Nashville again but we will not be visiting this cafe again. Ever.

I was pleasantly surprise at this little restaurant tucked away, I had the pulled pork and my wife had a bowl of beans and rice. Food was good, hot. It reminded me of a mom and pop restaurant. Great place to visit.

“Unexpected entertainment!”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

Had dinner at this cafe our last night in NashvilleIN. It happened to be "local talent night" so we had a "show" during our meal. It was extremely crowded and so noisey that if we had wanted to hear the singer, it would have been quite difficult. They did not have sufficient help and we waited almost 45 minutes before our order was taken. When it did arrive, it was VERY good so the noise, overcrowdedness and wait were somewhat vindicated.

“Great breakfast spot”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

We had a nice, hearty breakfast at the Muddy Boots Cafe when we were in town for a visit recently. Coffee was fantastic - they said they have their own special blend that's roasted locally in town. The restaurant itself is full of character - a fun, cozy place to eat. Live music - even at breakfast. We'll be back.

Just OK place for a quick lunch. Had a grilled chicken salad that came out with shredded chicken, not a big deal. Was unremarkable. Prices were average for a tourist town. Service was OK.
