This is an old fashioned lodge, but in a good kind of way. The rooms are nice even though you use a real key to unlock them. The dining area is simply beautiful with a fire place and antiques everywhere. It is one mile from the Brown County State park and less than a mile from downtown Nashville. We received a coupon for two free meals for breakfast and the meal was delicious. The pool area needs a little updating, but it is nice and clean. We would like to take our family back to this location, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view

Good price and nice pool for 3 day stay with family will only stay here because of the pool for the kids . The blanket on the bed was full of hair from other people! The free breakfast was aweful. I'm all for a rustic feel but this place needs a seriou updating starting with the carpets. Cozy? Yes. Friendly and quiet? Yes. My kids thought a little too quiet. But we will not come back until renovated if ever.

Room Tip: Stay in the updated rooms and find price breaks on the rooms. Not worth the extra money on a room. We immediately were jealous of the people who were staying at the chain motels with no pool!

In searching for a spring break trip for our family, we came across a great deal at this place. It was one of the better rated hotels for Nashville, and we don't feel that we were misled. Granted, this time of year is not their busy season by any stretch, which was completely fine with us. The facility sits on higher ground on the north side of highway 46, which offers a nice view of the hills and landscape to the south regardless of the season. Considering the vast amount of rain of recent, there's no need to worry about flooding at this property.

Our room was a good size and uniquely shaped, in a good way. We chose the deluxe room, which meant it had a small fridge and microwave that were actually a part of a small kitchenette space that included a bar sink and count space that were a bonus compared to regular rooms we have had in the past. The bathroom also had plenty of room. The angled porch to the south was a very nice feature allowing access to the view as well as an abundance of natural light into the room with the blinds open. We also appreciated the free WiFi during our stay.

Since it was raining quite a bit on our first night's stay, we took advantage of the pool, which was a good size. We especially liked the outside feel to it without being outside. Our kids also were big fans of using their ping pong table.

We saw some folks talked about the place being dated, which it is somewhat, but you don't come here for some sterile modern look. I thought it was perfect for what the area is all about and it was perfect for our needs. The only knock we would give it if any is that their recreational equipment (ping pong paddles, basketball, volleyball) were in poor condition, but I don't imagine too many folks come here looking to use these items very often. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The rooms in the newer section are definitely nicer from what we could tell.

We have came to this area a lot of years and wanted to spend our 29th anniversary eating what we thought to be a great meal. The seasons lodge used to be a place we looked forward to eating at because they have an all you can eat prime rib buffet. We have come to this on and off for many years. We were seated and had to wait for a long period of time for them to take our drink order then when we got up to get our salad half of the things on the bar needed filling. My husband loves onion soup and we thought great they have it. We got back to the table the soup was so cold that it didn't even melt the cheese we put in it I personally did not eat mine it was so salty and cold I couldn't . We were told they were getting us bread and we waited and waited. They were serving the prime rib and any other hot vegetables out of the kitchen. So we sat waiting for the main course, and waiting and waiting you get the idea. Finally it comes and it was cold.we went ahead and ordered another piece and our waitress said that they were not going to take any other orders after 8 pm because they were running low? Then we said we would take 2 pieces in this order because we wanted to meet the timeframe, mind you they did not tell us this in the beginning or we probably would have ordered something else. Then the waitress comes back finally with our second piece only,oh yeah and the rolls promised in the beginning of the meal. She also managed to fill our drinks too great job. When she arrived she told us that we could have another piece if we wanted it and we said yes she stated that the cut off didn't apply to us because we were there before 8pm. I think they should go back to the old way of the buffet style of dinning it is less hassle and waiting and less stressful for the customer, this way doesn't work well at all. Probably won't be back that's a shame we used to like this.

We stayed one night for the Christmas Parade. The room was clean and the hotel itself was peaceful. It was only a 1/4 of a mile from all the shops downtown which was nice and convenient. Hubby and I also appreciated the fact that we could stay for one night, and not have to commit to a two night minimum stay that was required by most of the overpriced places downtown. We weren't over the moon about the facility, could have had a little more character reflective of the area and the staff could have been more friendly, but all in all it was a decent stay. Worth $110? No, but considering all the places downtown were $50 more a night, I guess we did okay. It is unfortunate that touristy areas such as this feel that they can charge whatever they want and not go above and beyond to make a stay memorable.
