This inn is gorgeous and quaint. It is two stories and has been beautifully redecorated. The hosts, Dennis and Dianne were very gracious and breakfast was outstanding! We slept well ( trains don't bother us but we did hear them frequently in the late evening) and had a relaxing time.

I recently spent three nights here in February. The inn is absolutely gorgeous and beautifully decorated. It felt like a step back in time. The only problems were the train tracks are only 2 blocks away with trains running every half hour with the whistles blaring. The third story room the I was in definitely needs a storm window to block out noise and cold. The house sits on a major highway which is travelled by many, many semis. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean. The breakfasts were delicious. The owner was a bit chatty and we could not visit much with each other. I might stay here again in the summer because of the décor and the hominess; otherwise I would probably find a more rural setting.

Room Tip: All the rooms are gorgeous, you just may ask for a room away from the street.

We so enjoyed your stay with us and appreciate your taking the time to review our Inn and include such kind and welcoming comments. Our Inn is located just a block and a half from our downtown square. Main Street is just a 2 lane residential street and as you walk south into town, our Library, coffee shop, small retailers and restaurants are accessible. The train in town has been such a mainstay for decades that it is just part of our community, I guess. We view the fact that if the train doesn't run...neither does product...from one coast line to the other. We have a beautifully restored train depot, that although doesn't house train travelers any longer, it's building is now used for a food pantry. We have many guests who remember train tracks in their small towns when growing up, and find it reminiscent. Dennis and I hope to see you again this summer on a return visit to our area and again we thank you so much for choosing our Inn.

I have had a lot of B&B experiences, and this was one of the two most enjoyable ever (and THE most of the ones where I've stayed in the U.S.). Dianne and Dennis are THE most welcoming hosts. I loved the look of the place, the delicious breakfasts, and the conviviality of hosts and fellow guests. I am already planning my 2014 return to Homespun Country Inn!

The Hosts {Dennis & Dianne} made us feel very welcome, they are very warm, pleasant, and friendly couple. Stayed in Frank and Alma's room, very well decorated and brought us back to the 19th Century. An absolute wonderful experience, the whole B&B is remodeled to resemble the era. The breakfast was a true experience, home cooked with love to their guests. Thank you for the memorable time.

Room Tip: Frank and Alma's room faces Main Street, traffic was a little noisy at times but had a good nigh...

I was a little disappointed with the spacing of the home. It feels a bit crammed. It's definitely a city-like bed and breakfast-there is no sight seeing from the house's windows or porch. Our room is right next to another where you can easily hear the tv and their conversations. We had Salley's room, which I was disappointed there was no bathtub, only a standing shower. I appreciated the little lamps in the room, and the fact that she offered a personal heater to keep the room warm. The tv's channels were blurry for the most part, so didn't end up watching much of it. In this specific room, only certain spots have wifi. Breakfast was pretty small portions, but enough if you aren't super hungry. My husband thought the house looked pretty girly with all the flower patterns everywhere, but it is nicely and cleanly decorated.

Top benefits: 1) it is in walking distance to a few little shops, and about 1mile or so away from Amish Acres. 2) owners have maps and personally show you highlights of the area around you. 3) provide snacks and drinks for a midnight snack if desired 3) bed and bedding was comfortable

Not impressed with: 1) for breakfast you will have to eat with other guests (it is not a quiet breakfast time where you can sit by yourself if you desire that) 2) there is not much privacy with the thin walls and creaky stairs (we felt we had to be pretty quiet for the sake of other guests) 3) standing shower without a bath 4) price is a bit expensive for what you get (husband and I almost preferred staying at a hotel instead..it is not good for a romantic getaway)

Thank you for taking the time to review our Inn. It is one of the best guidelines for a business like us to grow and improve, and we thank you for that. We have tried to promote our website with photos, amenities, policies and attractions, that show exactly who we are and what we offer. We promote our downtown square and the fact that you can walk into town to our retailers, coffee shop and restaurants; although we are in a small community we are not in a rural country setting. Our dining room features a large oak Amish crafted table, able to seat 10 guests each morning for breakfast. It is one of the best times with our guests, as conversation flows over breakfast, and the talk starts about "where are you from" "have you been here before" "have you been to Rentown". We aren't able to offer tables for 2 for breakfast and I am sorry that that was your expectation. Sitting at a large dining room table other guests for breakfast is not for everyone but it is a great B&B experience and one that we truly enjoy. We try to keep our breakfast time at 8:30 am, but we are flexible with our guests needs for serving if we know in advance. Some of our breakfast courses did not hold well by the time you came down for breakfast and we were unable to serve all of it to you. Again I always feel I learn from every review we receive and truly appreciate the time it takes for a guest to write a review. We do hope you will continue to stay in a B&B property.

Have had a wonderful trip to Nappanee with a great stay at the Homespun B&B. The owners are so helpful and friendly....almost like being at home. They also arranged a enjoyable dinner with a charming young Amish couple in their home....Darrell and Jane....they topped off our evening. Thank you to all!

The Trip Advisor reviews were all remarkably spot-on...Homespun Country Inn was simply superb. Felt just like coming back home to grandmother's house for the holidays. Impeccably decorated, cozy, fragrant, such a warm and inviting feel. Our hosts Dianne and Dennis were just delightful and are such congenial innkeepers. We stayed in Sally's room on the top floor and positively loved it. Every little detail was attended to and it was absolutely eat-off-the-floor, immaculately clean. As well, one of the most comfortable beds of any B+B we have ever stayed at around the globe. Dianne's freshly prepared breakfast was similarly out-of-this-world...elegantly presented, gourmet tasty, including her marvelous egg, potato and sausage frittata that was yummy, to-die-for. As one reviewer had mentioned, there was some background sounds from a few trains passing in the night, but largely muted and not bothersome for us. Homespun Country Inn certainly exceeded our usually very high standards...this is definitely our first-choice for future visits anytime we are in Indiana. Perfect for business travelers or just a nice cozy special getaway. Did we mention that we really, Really liked this place ?!

Room Tip: All rooms and the whole house are so beautifully decorated.
