Owner description: Originally the factory for Coppes Kitchen Cabinets that once produced the famous “Hoosier Cabinet,” the 100,000 s.f. renovated factory now houses a variety of small businesses perfect for shopping for locally made, handcrafted and freshly baked items. Get a glimpse of the fascinating history into the Coppes Kitchens, once ordered by Frank Sinatra and President John F. Kennedy, while shopping this rustic and rambling brick structure. Watch and taste creative ice-cream concoctions come to life using liquid nitrogen, taste and buy made-from-scratch baked goods, cheeses, and bulk foods or look for a good book in the Christian Book Store. An 8,000 sq ft antique mall is the place to find your next vintage treasure! That’s just a sample of what’s in store – inside Coppes Commons.
Useful Information: Food available for purchase, Stairs / elevator, Bathroom facilities, Wheelchair access

There are a lot of items within the store that aren't found just anywhere. A lot of them are Amish crafted. Not the cheap junk from China you normally find while traveling. While you are there stop at the Nappanee Bakery and get some Whoopie Pies.

Just found this place on my latest trip and was very pleasantly surprised with the offerings. Book store, tea shop (although you need to make reservations in advance), grocery store plus some other shops. Enjoyed talking to the woman who owned Shabby to Chic who offered some good advice on painting furniture. Also had some nice pieces on sale for very reasonable prices.

Wonderful Christian gift shop with a good selection. Nice area with bulk foods a plus. Remember, not open on Sundays.

The Coppes offers several unique shops which we enjoyed strolling on our visit. There is a bakery, a religious store, furniture, and more to browse through. On the second floor is a collection of historical furniture and appliances which was fun to see, too.

I'm glad you enjoyed the history of Coppes Commons and the old cabinets that were made here. We hope to have a more complete museum someday in the future. Come again!

I went there this past summer, it needs some help...The Rocket Ice Cream was good, the little grocery store had very good sandwiches too...The idea is there, just needs more vendors...Keep at it...
