We have been on a kick of going to pancake houses and this looked like it was worth a try. We are so glad we did! My wife ordered the "Country Benadict" and I ordered a breakfast special which included two eggs (basted medium), two sausage links, two slices of bacon, and two pancakes. We were both totally impressed with the food, service, cleanliness and every other aspect of this place. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed brunch at about 2pm local time on a Saturday. Eva's was quiet, with no waiting and excellent service. The menu features very large portions, such as a five-egg omelet. Two of us shared a single omelet meal with sides of fresh fruit and two pancakes. This was plenty of food for one hungry person and one lighter eater. Price was about $9 before tip. The omelet was good, as were the pancakes. While several people, including our server, noted that we simply HAD to try their pancakes, this assessment did seem overrated. They were indeed good, but I would not call them unusual or spectacular. That said, the food was good, portions were generous, and two of us had plenty of food by purchasing a single meal. So we will return.

Our favorite meal to eat out is breakfast and while our daughter was attending Ball State University we would go out for a weekend and east breakfast out every morning at someplace different. So naturally we had a pretty good tour de Muncie breakfast spots.
These days, we only maintain the house she lived in while at BSU so we generally drive out to do repairs, clean up between renters, etc. So instead of a long weekend hitting every breakfast place in town, we generally only have one day and one choice and that is Eva's.
This is breakfast, folks, so we're not looking for decor, atmosphere, ambience, whatever you want to call it. We're here for food and, man, that's what you get. It's all very tasty, there's plenty of it, they put a lot of people in and out of the place quickly and that's what we like.
I've never had a bad breakfast there, the prices are moderate, the service is always good and if I eat there after 9 a.m. I don't have to stop anywhere or stop doing anything for lunch. We ate at both Eva's restaurants over the years (the "newer" one off McGalliard has since closed) and both were equally good.
While we're hoping the housing market picks up and we can sell the rental property, when we do close on it we'll make one more trip back to Eva's. You can count on that.

My family ate at Eva's for the first time Easter Sunday. The food was very good and our server was nice and well informed. My mom had an egg breakfast but wanted just 1 silver $ pancake. Well, they could not do that for what ever reason the silver $ pancakes had to be sold in a large bundle on the plate but the server offered to give my mom a reg pancake at no extra charge. We thought that was very accommodating. We had so much good food we were all trying each others dishes and the price was comparable to any other breakfast place. We are going back for Mother's day and we live 50 min away:)
