At the time I wrote my previous review, I hadn't tried Concannon's lunch menu. I'm happy to report I have and I've found it quite an acceptable alternative to Panera Bread, especially since Concannon's is a locally-owned small business.
They serve a variety of sandwiches, wraps and salads along with several soups. There are a couple vegetarian sandwiches and wraps and almost always two vegetarian soups.
Soups are tasty and served piping hot, though I doubt they're site-made (not with at least four soups being serve daily). Sandwiches are served on Concannon's breads and are generous. Lunches are served with a cookie, which is just the right finish.
Service is at the cafe counter - you order at the counter and a runner will bring your meal to your table. Service here can be a little slow when the counter backs up, but the staff and comfortable surroundings make up for it.
With their two convenient locations and high quality there is no reason to choose a chain. Eat local!
