There are so many types of activities supported at Minnestrista: obviously, the cultural center, but also the Farmer's Market, Oakhurst Gardens, walking paths, bike paths, gardens, & apple orchard. Arguably the best place in Muncie; certainly a "can't-miss" for visitors.

I enjoy walking around Minnetrista and enjoying the many paths and trails that wind through this beautiful area, in which you can enjoy nature and even catch a glimpse various wildlife from time to time, as well as the beautiful gardens. They also have a Farmer's Market every Wednesday evening and Saturday morning, which is just spectacular!

They used to play some music, but haven't done much for years. The museum is cheesy and the whole thing is like a joke.

We enjoyed a beautiful outside wedding on the gardens at the Minnetrista center. There was plenty of parking and the seating was perfect for the size wedding we attended.

We visited the Oakhurst Gardens, which is part of Minnetrista. It features 5-6 gracious older homes that face the White River, surrounded by seasonal gardens. It is my favorite place to take a walk when visiting the area. The gardens seem to be a popular place for photography and weddings; when we were there, two bridal parties were having photos taken and one wedding had apparently just taken place. There is an exhibit inside the Cultural Center that provides models of the homes with a bit of history. The gardens are peaceful, well-maintained, and usually not crowded. The Cultural Center features special exhibitions and an occasional farmers' market, so I recommend checking the website to plan your time accordingly. The Gardens can be enjoyed in as little as 30 minutes, more time if you are a walker and/or prefer a leisurely place. We will return for a good walk when the weather is fine. Enjoy!
