“Experience 1955 all over again”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

The Bluebird harkens back to a bygone era with very good food and a pleasant, laid back atmosphere. The fried chicken is what they are known for and is unsurpassed. The service is adequate, but the menu is somewhat inflexible. I wasn't hungry enough to eat the whole 4-piece fried chicken dinner, complete with vegetables, salad bar, rolls, butter and a drink, but my request for a reduced portion was met with, "Honey, if I cut the portions down, I'll have to charge you more." That didn't exactly make sense, but I ordered the full boat and managed to eat most of it. Make no mistake, the food is very good and the prices are reasonable. Just make sure you are hungry enough to eat a lot, because they will insist that you do.

“Good Small Town Resturant”
Reviewed May 19, 2012

The Bluebird is somewhat a smaller version of the Copper Kettle that is down the road. It Has a great hometown flair and a above average buffet in the evenings The food on the buffet is always fresh though at times the crowd overwhelms the kitchen It's worth the drive if you are in the area and you will leave full. The Copper Kettle mentioned earlier has better service but is twice as expensive For a town of this size to have 2 exceptional home cooking style restaurants should tell you how good they both are.

“Bluebird Restaurant”
Reviewed March 18, 2012

I love the Bluebird, it reminds me of the restaurants when I was younger, everyone comes in the morning for coffee and sits around and visits. No one feels rushed, you can stay as long as you want. Their breakfast is great, and their buffet is awesome, I love their fried chicken and chocolate pudding.

The Bluebird Restaurant serves extraordinarily tasty food. I really like the fried chicken. Vegetables were delicious. You need to try this restaurant and you will be delighted that you came.
