Pretty good place to eat, food was good but a little expensive for a small town. Rustic bar type of atmosphere with great service. Went on a Saturday around 6 pm and was getting a crowd at door but service was quick

I always enjoy eating at Riverside, as do all my friends and out of town relatives. But I am particularly pleased that now there is a good place to have lunch and meet with my friends. They not only offer their FULL daily menu but several great luncheon specials. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!!!

Riverside is a bit hard to get into on the weekends, but most likely due to the great food and atmosphere. I also think it might be a place for people to visit who don't wish to be disturbed by young children. They also prohibitd smoking when it wasn't fashionable; no one seemed to mind in the least. The homemade soups are simply scrumptious; would highly recommend this restaurant.

We ate here after an ill-fated trip to Indiana Beach and it made the visit to Monticello worthwhile. Great pork chops and sides and the price was right too. The only glitch was we were almost turned away until they found out our kids were 18 and 20, some obscure Indiana law about not allowing anyone under 18 into a dining establishment with a bar unless the bar was in a completely separate building or walled off from the dining area. Our waitress was very nice and attentive but not obnoxious. Recommended if visiting Monticello.
