I took a senior group from our church there this month and had a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant was clean, the waiters attentive, and the food was excellent. This is a buffet and I imagine the menu changes quite a bit but the day we were there we had a choice of fried or baked chicken, ham, and roast beef with plenty of sides, fresh baked bread, and many choices for dessert from cobblers and pies to cookies. There is also a bakery inside the restaurant where you can purchase fresh bread, cookies, pies, jams, apple butter, etc. The restaurant has a gift shop and there are a couple of more on the property. To me they were so-so but still enjoyed looking around. Price was reasonable for the amount of food choices available.

I was pleasantly surprised with the buffet... We agreed probably some of the best roast beef we have eaten before... They had a good selection of seafood which everyone said was very good... I do not eat seafood but was very happy with the roast beef... Great selection of desserts... Service was very good... Price was 15.00 which is about what you pay anywhere...We were all pleased and would all go back..

We went to the village this afternoon. The lunch buffet was excellent. It had a great selections of soup, fish, veggies and desserts. The price was extremely reasonable for $10 a person. We went to the bakery and took home jars of homemade apple butter, peanut butter and loaf of bread.

My sister, her husband, and I drove 75 miles to try out this restaurant. Over the years we heard good reviews from friends, so decided to try it. There were no signs in the store or at the entry to the restaurant showing the price of the meal and we didn't think to ask anyone. That was our mistake. I realize the cost of driving here just to eat was a little high in addition to the cost of the meal, but we enjoy riding through this part of Indiana. I'm not sure what we were expecting, but we thought there would be dishes that we never seen or tried before. The food selection was less that what you could get at a Ryan's or Hometown buffets. The day we went they had 4 fish selections, roast beef, fried chicken, and deep fried shrimp and clams. It was filling, but not any better than can be made at home. Instead of yeast rolls, they had homemade bread and the bread was very good. They had apple butter next to the butter and bread and that was a pleasant surprise, but the apple butter had a heavy cinnamon taste with no hint of apples. The desserts were good if you like heavy toppings on crème pies. I prefer a meringue topping as it's light and doesn't take over the filling, especially a chocolate pudding pie. I guess what dampen the whole experience was the $55 price tag for three people which we didn't find out until we were at the cash register. The ticket that was given to us at the end of the meal only had 3 dinners marked on it with no prices. That is about $15 to $20 more than we normally pay at most buffets. We've eaten at casino buffets and they charge about what this restaurant charges, but they have three-four times the food choices. After discussing our experience on the way home, we decided that we would not recommend this restaurant nor would we eat here again.
