The friendliness of Ron and Dennis made our weekend special. They shared the history of the Mansion, gave us great recommendations for activities and places to eat and made us feel at home.
The room was lovely and the breakfasts were incredible.

It's refreshing to get away and leaving all the luxuries of NYC we don't always have high expectations that in smaller towns everything will work out - but this place was AMAZING! Most importantly the hosts made it from just a trip to a vacation of a lifetime. The Mansion is stunning - echoes of a grand era that immerses you in history and glamour. The pool was our favourite part and the breakfasts - awesome. Thank you gents - and we most definitely will be back!

Ron and Dennis are very hospitable. The mansion is beautiful the room was very clean the breakfast was amazing. We stayed here last year on the anniversary and had to leave early for a family emergency. Our daughter had been in an accident out-of-state.
Because of our early departure we were invited back for this year. My husband and I both thought it was very kind of them and certainly over and above what one could've expected.
I certainly recommend anybody wanting to stay in a B & B historical home in the South Bend/Mishawaka area, the Beiger Mansion is the place to go. You're awesome many places to walk to and enjoy in the small city of Mishawaka

We were three old girlfriends in town for three nights, all coming from different parts of the USA. We booked the room with two queen beds and looked at the time as something of a short week at summer camp. It was GREAT! The 3rd night, a 4th girlfriend stayed with us. Every morning, we had three extras show up for coffee and juice as we had breakfast, and we weren't charged an extra dime for the coffee and juice for the three extra girlfriends. It was just a grand, grand time, and Dennis and Ron did their best to have us feeling comfortable as we schmoozed and gossiped and laughed. The entire mansion is, well, "mansion-y" and can feel a bit intimidating at first. But we were told we'd be welcome to gather in the open area in the evening for our "pizza night," and we found that the mansion can be quite comfortable for gathering. There is a solarium with a table for sharing pizza, and there's a sofa/chairs seating area that (to my surprise) is actually quite comfortable for sitting around for girl-talk. Room was fine. Bathroom's a little tiny, but we'd survived tent camping as kids! The wifi is not so strong, so don't plan on conducting business. (Walk a block to the public library if you must!) ... Breakfasts were FANTASTIC! One of our discussions was, "So, which breakfast do you think was the best? Blueberry pancakes? Eggs Benedict? Or the cinnamon toast?" ... ALL were fantastic! All were served beautifully, in a fine dining room, at a beautifully set table. ... A few of the less-than-positive reviews left me puzzled. I suspect that folks are missing two basics: (1) This is an old mansion; it's not a fancy, new hotel. It's an old mansion. (2) Again, this is not a hotel. For over-night guests, this is a bed 'n' breakfast. Essentially, it's Ron and Dennis' home, and, as with any bed 'n' breakfast, they'll rent you one of their guest rooms for the night. But the bottom line is that this is their HOME. Yep. It's a mighty unusual place to call "home," but it's their home, and not a hotel, and that needs to be respected and understood.

It's a beautiful old mansion with easy parking available. Unique, eclectic decor. It's fun to roam around the museum-like surroundings and take it all in. The staff are friendly. The service was excellent. The food was delicious, perfectly prepared with exceptional service staff. I was here for a function several years ago and was dreading the evening because that was not a great experience. This event was beautifully executed in every way. It was a wonderful way to welcome new employees and honor retirees. Thank you for a perfect and memorable evening!
