“A great find”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Tucked away is right but it's worth it. Whenever I'm back in Mishawaka / South Bend I make it here. It's small so get there early. The soups are excellent. A great mom and pop place that is overlooked.

“Wannabe Goomba Atmosphere”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

Food was good, but the "atmosphere" is typical "goomba-wannabe" dreck! The customer doesn't feel special here- you almost feel as if you are intruding.

“Excellent Italian”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Tucked away is the best description for this place, great service great food and being able to see Cosimo cook in the back just adds to the experience. Try the vodka sauce or the Pizza, love to support great local places that make you feel at home.

“Great Little Italian Restaurant-Hidden location but Great.”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

Sorry, but have lived within 5 miles for over 40 years and never ate there before, see what we have been MISSING. Wanting to celebrate a 71st Birthday and try somewhere different, we visited Cosimo and Susie's. A great experience with EXCELLENT FOOD, large portions, and friendly service. The walls full of pictures, many autographed from visiting celebrities (many from Notre Dame) gives evidence of a great reputation of good service and GREAT FOOD.
Even though it is located near the back of Town & Country Shopping Center, the area is VERY CLEAN, well lighted, and parking is quite close from the back lot. You won't be sorry to give Cosimo and Susie's a try.

“Repeat visits”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

I go here annually now for last five years, around nearby Notre Dame football games. Last Friday enjoyed the excellent lasagna prepared by Susie, the menu states. Aftertaste was incredible with a large serving. Asked where in Italy the owner/cook was from, and reply was southernmost region , across from Sicily. Whatever spices and ingredients are used, I have never had anything so incredible!.Tip for finding restaurant the first time- is is not a stand by itself building, but instead on a open air sidewalk in mall, and you park out past sidewalk in big mall lot.
