Description: Established in 2010 Corndance Tavern presents classic tastes of the Midwest with metropolitan sophistication. Our highly trained staff strive to provide a truly memorable dining experience; professional service, fresh local food presented in a dynamic fashion, and the perfect beverage make your Corndance experience one to remember! Our steaks are dry aged and cut in-house, using midwestern beef fed on grain and grass with no steroids or hormones. We buy produce from local farms, including year-round indoor farming operations in southern Michigan. Our seafood comes straight from the Great Lakes, and what we cannot get locally, we get flown in from around the United States every day. Our wine list is composed of new-world wines from the Americas. You will not find microwaves and frozen food at Corndance--just fresh, local food, inspired by the seasons.

I attended this restaurant with two friends and what a great experience we had. We were getting together for a good meal and time to share.
The Captain's Sword if you like meat is an excellent choice and impressive when you see it.
The salads were very good and the salmon was as good as it gets.
I can recommend this place for the food and atmosphere. The service was right on and took care of every need. The wine list is impressive to someone that likes good wine.
For a special occasion try this restaurant the prices are above average, but not prohibitive, not at all. Certainly not a chain with the same old menu.

My wife, two daughters and I ate at the Corndance during a stop in South Bend. Without a reservation on a Friday night at 8:00 p.m., we were told the wait would be 15-25 minutes, but were seated within 10. Our waiter Mike was very knowledgable about the menu and the specials. We started with the stuffed dates which were very tasty. Our entrees included eggplant parmegian, chicken parmegian and the grilled sitka salmon. All were very good, and my wife indicated the eggplant parmegian was the best she's ever had. Desserts were also delicious. Needless to say, we did not leave there hungry. Would definitely stop there again if in the area.

We had heard comments about this place and decided to try it for dinner.
It's located in the former location of the Lone Star Cafe. Corndance has been around about three years.
They have lots of friendly greeters here and we got a nice booth next to the window.
This owner also owns the Evil Czech Brewery and they produce a variety of beers and ales.
Kristin our server gave us three to sample. We decided on Voodoo, a very dark variety.

We ordered two appetizers, the stuffed dates and the pear ravioli. Both were very good and were presented well. The dates were on skewers with green onion garnish, and the ravioli in a special dish.
We had the bison burger. They call it The Monster, but it's not really that big. It's nearly 12 ounces and at $18 that's not inexpensive. The burger is not that impressive. What is impressive is the presentation.
The Monster arrives in a special metal contraption which places the burger in a vise-like device with three fat onion rings locked in place. The Gardeniere, pickled veggies, are bright yellow-green and there's a bed of dark green lettuce and a bright red tomato. The french fries arrive in a metal pedestal cup with a long stem.

I noticed several other tables receiving similar over the top presentations. The Sword of John Adams is a long sword attached to a base plate. Three types of meat were on the sword and it cost $32 for almost a pound of meat.

There's an extensive wine list here at upper level prices. You can even buy paintings off the walls.
The owner is involved with production of the meals and the manager delivers the food.

The servers here are very upbeat and energetic. If you want a dining experience that will
impress someone, this is the place.

Do not come here if you are just hungry for meat and potatoes at reasonable prices.

Found this restaurant via Trip Advisor ratings for places to have Steak for dinner Mishawaka. We wanted something nicer than the chain restaurants and found the Corndance Tavern. Between the 3 of us we had the Ribeye, Fillet, and Prime Rib. We all had the squash and garlic mashed potatoes as sides. The meals, service, and ambiance were excellent. I highly recommend the Corndance Tavern.
