Description: Established in 2010 Corndance Tavern presents classic tastes of the Midwest with metropolitan sophistication. Our highly trained staff strive to provide a truly memorable dining experience; professional service, fresh local food presented in a dynamic fashion, and the perfect beverage make your Corndance experience one to remember! Our steaks are dry aged and cut in-house, using midwestern beef fed on grain and grass with no steroids or hormones. We buy produce from local farms, including year-round indoor farming operations in southern Michigan. Our seafood comes straight from the Great Lakes, and what we cannot get locally, we get flown in from around the United States every day. Our wine list is composed of new-world wines from the Americas. You will not find microwaves and frozen food at Corndance--just fresh, local food, inspired by the seasons.

If I had written this after the first three visits here I would have given the highest marks. We have eaten here probably a dozen times and eight were great, two decent and two lacking. I was a little disappointed last time on our anniversary when we had reservation, but were seated in the bar - kind of noisy with TVs around is not the atmosphere I was looking for. The one time we had a really poor experience - we did ask to speak to a manager who gave us a gift certificate to come again. We did return because we had several good experiences. The cocktails are excellent and the wine list is great. The goat cheese salad and caprese salad are very good. The seafood pastas (change with the season) are always a solid choice. The beef is always excellent. Desserts are excellent. The service is uneven - usually quite good. If they could consistently perform this would go from very good to excellent - if they are "on" that night it is among the top three in town.

Ate dinner here last night - first time visitor. Service was excellent. Waiter (Michael) gave a clear synopsis of the menu and helpful recommendations. The food was very good and well presented. Would happily return here for dinner again.

Our party of 4 had a fantastic meal. Bison meatloaf, pear ravioli, stir fry special and pulled hammock cornbread muffin. We were all extremely happy with our meals. Our waiter Conner was pleasant, attentive and very knowledgeable. We are just passing through Indiana but would highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

We have visited Corndance a few times a year since it opened. We have never left dissatisfied. We almost always order from the specials board. Ham hock is to die for. Pear ravioli is sweet and savory. Warm rustic bread. Service is always excellent. This restaurant always thinks outside the box which you do not find often in South Bend. Obviously because of the high quality food, the bill reflects that but I have no problem paying for it!

We have been to Corndance Tavern several times before and have never been disappointed. We had dinner there on Saturday night to celebrate my husband's birthday, Our dinner was delicious and had great service from Sarah. I had the Copper River salmon...out of this world and my husband had the fettuccine with shrimp & lobster, started with the caprese and house salad.
A special treat was something they call the summer cornet....YUM!! It is a bowl formed from sugar and crushed almonds filled with vanilla mousse and topped with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries & raspberries!!
