I'm late in writing my review but it was not because we didn't enjoy our stay. Beautiful old home located right on the main street. We stayed in the Sage Room, which does face the street and has the toilet & shower in a converted closet. Sure it was tight, but I commend them for creating a private bathroom for the room which we find a must. We weren't bothered by the street noise - I guess the country air made us sleep like babies so we didn't need the ear plugs provided. Beautiful breakfasts and very gracious hosts. In every step of the way Lori was professional and extremely helpful in giving directions. Located really close to the Essenhaus where Thursdays night in the summer they have classic car night. We went to a show in nearby Shipshewana and enjoyed travelling the countryside. Book early if it is a Notre Dame football weekend. Lots stay there to go to the game. If we travel to that area again we surely would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Room Tip: If you are claustraphobic, or wish a tub, don't pick the sage room. Also, while the street nois...

We stayed as it was near the venue for a 40th HS reunion. The house is great... rooms looked good.

We stayed in the Sage room... very comfortable, shower a little tight. The owner said that they were consider a remodel. We would recommend staying in any of the other rooms!

The rooms have ear plugs for use to keep the sound of horse clopping down to a minimum! Neat idea!

My mother and I loved the Amish Room! Sooooo clean and comfortable with lots of little special things you don't get in other places like bathrobes, razors, toothpaste, DVD movies, magazines, fresh baked cookies to snack on, etc, etc. The breakfast was just fabulous and very elegant table. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We arrived much later than we planned. I saw something on the website that indicated extra charges might be applied for late arrival, so I called Lori to let her know we'd be coming in late and she was very gracious about our late arrival. We enjoyed unwinding after a long drive by strolling down the street to the quaint downtown on a warm summer evening and returned to a late night snack of freshly baked cookies and hot tea. Hope we get a chance to visit again soon.

A very nice B&B with friendly, solicitous hosts, great breakfasts, clean, comfortable rooms, centrally located for visiting Amish Country attractions. See Amish buggies clip-clop past the front porch....

Room Tip: Traffic noise in rooms toward the street.

Such a beautiful house, the room was beautiful and very relaxing. Lori and Arnie were such great hosts, gave us great ideas for dinner. Lori is a fantastic cook. The breakfast table was set like royalty was coming for breakfast, her food was wonderful. Many extras in the room. There was a small refrigerator in the dining room anyone could use, coffee, tea and homemade cookies always available. Lots of books and magazines, and DVD's. We would recommend this B&B very high.

The Country Victorian is a place where once you visit you will always come back. We have enjoyed our stays so much that we have not only taken our family members there, but we have taken our friends there to visit as well. Arnie and Lori make you feel so welcome that you feel so relaxed you never want to go back home. My husband and I have taken my mother, my sisters, my daughters, and mny aunt and uncle.
