Are you looking for a sweet getaway? This place is fantastic. Rates are more than reasonable. Each room is individually decorated, in a fresh country style. Rooms are very spacious! Even the hallways are decorated to the max. You are treated like royalty, with mints by the bed, and all the amenities you can want. Spa and pool area is well done. Complete, delicious breakfast with cookies and hot beverage available anytime. Just a delight. Plus, you get the wonderful shops and are just minutes away from Shipshewanna and great shopping. We'll go back over and over. Clean!

Room Tip: Ask for the colors and style you like. We always ask for bright and airy.

We love to stay at the Essenhaus Inn because it is so refreshing and relaxing. This inn is so tastefully and beautifully decorated with every detail. It is so clean! We don't live far from
the Inn, but we come over to stay once or twice a year. We also enjoy the Heritage Theatre
shows.

I have stayed here before and happy to see that the high quality of service and facility are being maintained. My room was very large with a King sized comfortable bed. The room was meticulously maintained and cleaned without any apparent blemishes. The bathroom was smaller but very very clean. The only problem was the WiFi was very slow. The hallways were beautifully decorated as were the public spaces. A very appealing hotel. Breakfast was average but sufficient.

Room Tip: My king size room was indeed "king sized".

My husband and I (along with another couple) booked the Valentine Package that Essenhaus was offering. It included dinner, entertainment w/dinner, and the room. Your choice of two dinners were offered, we all chose the Prime Rib which included a salad, potatoes, bread and your choice of pie. Honestly....I don't think we've ever had better prime rib!! We all had very generous portions, cooked to perfection! The entire meal was first class....better than most restaurants we've been to. The dinner was held in Essenhaus' banquet room. The room was candlelit with white chair/bow dressings. It was lovely!!! The entertainment during dinner/desert was a gentleman by the name of Matt Walch....Singing the Big Band Standards, such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and took requests from the audience. He is truly a gifted singer...made us laugh and was a perfect entertainer for us all. We felt special and were treated special all evening. To those of you that have stayed at the Inn before, you know that you always feel special there, this was just extra-special!! After dinner, the fireplaces were roaring, free cookies and coffee were available(like always!!) and the four of us had the choice of many lovely areas to rest and fellowship before going to our beautiful rooms. Speaking of being treated special, each of our rooms had a long stem rose in a vase, a box of gourmet chocolate, 2 long stem glasses with a bottle of Sparkling Grape drink!! A HUGE thank-you to the Essenhaus Inn for making our Valentine Weekend not only one to remember, but absolutely lovely....in every way. Also, a huge thank-you to Hannah (not sure of her last name) for ALL HER WORK in organizing & planning this event...A++++!!! She made sure our requests were not only met but went above and beyond in communication, kindness and patience.

Room Tip: We prefer the top floor (as we do at all hotels) as it is quieter.

Stayed there this past weekend. Nice room and comfortable bed. Lots of comfortable homey places all over the hotel to sit and chat. Free coffee all day and free delicious cookies from 3-10. Breakfast buffet was not that great but there are many restaurants to choose from. Enjoyed our stay and would stay at again!

Great for a family get away. Loved the large Living Room space to visit and play checkers. The kids loved the game room. Will definitely go back to this hotel. Location is easy to find and within driving distance to alot of places to visit.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Essenhaus Inn! It was our first time there. We have stayed at the Carlisle Inn in Walnut Creek, in Ohio Amish Country, and love it! The Essenhaus Inn is owned by the same corporation....so we were pretty sure that it would be great too! We were not disappointed! The Essenhaus was wonderful. Rooms were big and clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful too....although the weather wasn't great for enjoying them this trip. We will be back!

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the hotel....facing Route 20, have a prettier view.
