This motel was very clean which is not always the case for this grade of motel. Great location for the discount shopping and ease of the interstate. Quieter part of town which helps for a good nights sleep after a long day travelling. However the price was inflated for the Saturday night due to a ball game going on at South Bend and all the hotels in that region were sold out. Michigan City was busy and expensive for this reason. Basic breakfast but good enough to get you on your way. Staff appeared to be a family unit and were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed overnight. Probably higher priced than it should be but because this depressed area is in the dunes/Lake Michigan area the hotels command a higher price. It is an older hotel with wear. Non-smoking room that smelled like cigarettes. Cigarette burns in my clean sheets. They felt clean anyway. Cigarette burns in the carpet. The pedestal lamp did not work. The deadbolt did not work. We braced something up against the door. The best we could afford this trip.

We stayed for one night as a last minute thing. I felt the price we paid for the room was outrageous for what we got- a musky smelling room with a tiny air conditioner that barely worked, no pool, and a lack-luster continental breakfast. Spend the extra $10 and stay at the Comfort Inn down the street.

It was a dark and stormy night inside and out!! The building looked dubious from the outside and didn't get any better inside. The check in was uneventful. The hallways were dark and dank. It didn't get any better when we opened the door. The room had a unusual smell and was really, really worn out. Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse, we got on the bed.You know that old pullout bed in your parents' basement, that would be an improvement. It was like sleeping on a box spring.(a really bad one). Then there was the free continental breakfast. What continent did they get it from? Prepackaged Super 8 cinnamon rolls and a waffle machine. YUCK. Walked away from that and went out for breakfast. The manager on duty was uninterested in our stay. I don't usually say this, but stay away (far far away)!!!

Stayed here when going to the Blue Chip Casino for a visit. The property is just off the interstate, but far enough that there is no traffic noise. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. A Denny's right across street for breakfast. Meijers and Walmart close. Best of all the casino was just a short drive away.

The facility was clean, recently painted, and the staff was friendly. The mattress's were too soft for me but I still slept well.

There was a meager breakfast ( cereal or rolls) provided if you wanted. And free local papers.
