“Pleasant outdoor dining”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

We had dinner at this restaurant located on an inlet of Lake Michigan. The outside deck was inviting and the food was made fresh and very good. The fact that the weather was perfect really helped for a nice dining experience.

“Worst meal in a long time . . .”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Went went on a Tuesday early evening. Our waitress was very pleasant and the ice tea was good which is the only reason I am giving it one star at all. The rest of the meal was horrid. The salad was all brown and had to be sent back, however, they did bring out a fresher one. The perch dinner was awful and overpriced for what you got- a few small pieces of fish with vegetables that were both cooked poorly. We told the waitress and no one even came out to talk with us - they don't give a s ---. They may fool the summer crowd for a while but if they want to stay in business in the off season - they better get a chef that knows how to prepare food. Other local restaurants are far better. We would never return.

“Restaurant Impossible”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Sunday afternoon, late lunch. After being seated, we waited approximately ten minutes for a server to come to our table. During that time, another couple that arrived when we did got up and left because of no service. We ordered beverages and an appetizer, onion and avacado dip. What was brought to us tasted like crab dip, white with a couple pieces of red pepper in it. Upon asking our waitress if this was the avacado dip, she got very defensive and said this is how it is. Someone at our table ordered the Roasted Beet Salad, upon it being served you could see a piece of metal shaving sitting on top of it. Since our waitress was no where to be found it was taken back into the restaurant by us. What came back looked like the same salad, and the beets are definitely canned. It was not eaten, and again she became argumentative when we said we did not care for it. The TAB sandwich was roasted turkey, avacado, bacon sandwich was deli shaved turkey, a little piece of bacon, and again nothing resembling an avacado. Between the very poor service and the disappointing food, it was a totally unsatisfactory experience.

“Really good”
Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

We had the perch and garlic pizza. Both were excellent. Great to sit on deck and enjoy the water. Pretty quiet and Greg place to have a good conversation.

“I wonder why the dish is called "Local's favorite".”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

We stopped in for lunch. It was not crowded and we were seated promptly. My husband ordered perch tacos which were good. I ordered the "local's favorite" which was chicken salad on shoestring potatoes and fresh fruit and sweetbread. The dish was very average and the chicken salad was bland. The sweetbread is actually cake and while it was tasty, I would have preferred regular bread or crackers with chicken salad. The fruit was fresh. The service was ok.

One negative I noticed was the waitress for another table. The group was large and it took two people to bring out the order. Two patrons in their group had ordered sandwiches. The waitress couldn't determine which was which so she lifted the bun up to check what it was. I found that a little unappetizing and was happy she wasn't OUR waitress.

We more than likely won't return to this restaurant.
