Description: In 1974 Mike Buda, Holly's founder, opened his doors after many years in the hospitality industry at other area restaurants. It wasn't long before word spread that the food was delicious and reasonably priced, the service was excellent, and Holly's became a favorite choice for casual family dining. Keeping the business in the family, Mike Buda's daughters, Jennie and Michele, spent time helping their dad at work during their youth. Following their graduation from Purdue University's Hospitality and Tourism school, Mike turned the daily operations of the restaurant over to his energetic and capable daughters. The restaurant serves traditional American cuisine, with select Mexican specialties and Barbeque favorites to really spice things up! You'll enjoy sandwiches piled high with only the best-quality ingredients, delicious homemade soups and salads, and one of the best French Dip sandwiches anywhere. For dinner, try our strip steak - or feast on a variety of appetizers and late night munchies at our bar. Enjoy your team in action on one of our 15 televisions, complimented by your favorite ice-cold beer, wine, or a cocktail. The Buda family takes great pride in being a locally owned, hometown-dining establishment. And, in today's market of chains and franchises, it's a pleasure to experience the friendly welcome you'll receive at Holly's Restaurant and Pub. So, whether you're new to the area, just passing through, or a born and bred "MCer" - get together at Holly's for hometown family fun!

Holly's 9 times out of 10 is very good. Great food, reasonable prices, usually pretty good service. I have had alot of different food on the menu, and pretty much everything is very tasty! Their alcohol usually doesn't taste very good there, tho, so I still with pop and water.

food = decent, service = average, decor = needs updating, menu = sufficient variety. Clearly a fave of the locals with a quaint charm.

My husband and I came upon Holly's Restaurant & Pub not too long ago and have visited several times since. We like the large menu, reasonable prices, and always meet nice people! Service is good! There is a large family dining area separated away from the bar area and also a small gameroom for the kids. I know when our daughters were little a couple quarters in a game would buy us a few extra minutes to enjoy being out. Holly's also has a really great reward program which will keep you coming back.

Holly's Restaurant and Pub is a popular local restaurant. Based on our experience, we don't know why. The night we were there, the special was all-you-can-eat Rib Tips for $9.99. I believe this special began at 4:00 PM. We were ordering at 7:15 PM and were told that they just ran out. We ordered Fajitas for $13.99 and Holly's Southwestern Salad for $9.99. The Fajitas were much like those served at chain restaurants, only slightly higher priced. Then there's the salad. I'll sum it up this way: if you like about 4 cups of finely shredded Iceburg lettuce topped with a mixture of about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of chicken, beans, rice and cheese, by all means order it! This was disgraceful to serve this to anyone. The lettuce was falling off the plate, we've never seen so much lettuce piled up - especially when the amount of topping was so little. And calling them Chicken Strips was a stretch. These were more like Chicken Slivers. The taste was not bad, except for the tortilla chips. They had no flavor whatsoever. They were like crisp cardboard. We could have complained about what was served but apparently, this is the measured amount that they serve and since service was none too fast in the first place, we figured things would only get worse if we complained. When clearing the platter, the waiter glanced at the amount on the plate before pitching it, that's how much was left over. As to the restaurant in general, the decor is nice, the staff just okay. Holly's has an extensive menu, it is a family oriented restaurant with lots of choices. But we won't be going back. Don't care to pay $9.99 for a plate of lettuce.
