Very nice stay. Room was very clean if a bit overly warm. Beds were clean and well-made however, they were a little over soft which after a 10 drive made for uneven sleep and a stiff back in the morning. Breakfast was ample and nicely placed. Hotel staff were very cordial and helpful.

First impression the lobby was nice and the staff was friendly but as soon as we walked into the room I knew this was a mistake. The bed sheets were not clean. One of the beds was so full of hair, almost like someone had trimmed their hair all over the bed. There were long pieces of hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub. The toilet seat had urine on it and the towels hanging had dirt on them. We than went down to the front desk to get a different room. The front desk lady apologized and offered us another room. This room was slightly better but not by much. There were stains all over the carpet. Stains inside the toilet bowl like it hasn't been cleaned in awhile and I'm afraid to step into the shower. The only thing "remodeled" in this hotel was new carpet, headboard and new paint on the wall. That's it! You can tell it's an old hotel and they did a cheap job covering it up. There's about an inch of dust over the old air unit on the wall. A very old mini fridge and microwave. There's no outlets in the room except the ones being used between the bed to plug in lamp and clock, I had to unplug one to plug in my phone charger. They need to hire new cleaning staff because the ones they have now are clearly not doing their job. We only picked this hotel because it was one of the cheapest we found in town.next time I would pay an extra $20 to get a better/cleaner room. I would not stay here unless you don't care about cleanliness.

We stay at Laquinta Inns several times a year and this hotel rates right up there like all of them. The price is right and the rooms are clean and the service is the best, we have family in Merrillville, In. If you ever need a room for the night Laquinta Inns is the place, you won't be sorry. Make your next stay with Laquinta, keep up the good work. Thumbs Up.

If it were not for the LQ sign along the street, you might drive right past this establishment. The entrance is a circuitous journey through non-descript parking lots and demolished restaurant pads. And, the hotel has virtually no curb-appeal. The appearance is more reminiscent of a warehouse than a hotel. All of that said, once you get inside this inn is what you would expect from an economy hotel. In fact, the interior was fairly up-to-date and seemed well-maintained. Front desk staff was friendly, but otherwise unremarkable. And, as always, we appreciated that our dog was welcome without hassle or usurious charges.

This is a two story motel-type facility with inside corridors. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. The window to the room opened, which is always a plus for me. Plenty of towels and OK amenities. The breakfast is pretty basic but OK: pastries, muffins, cereal, bananas, waffles, bad coffee, juices. Hard boiled eggs also. I was with a group and rented five rooms and did not see the problems mentioned in the other reviews. However the wifi simply would not work with any of our Apple products, despite a long phone call with the La Quinta techie who tried everything he knew how to do.

The location is convenient to I65 and every food franchise known to man, but it is a highway America wilderness where you can't go anywhere without a car. Almost all the nearby restaurants are franchise places. No charming walks here. Just a place to stop on a road trip, at a budget price.
