There is not a bad seat in this theatre! We have sat in numerous sections and everyone was with great view of the stage, even the balcony!

A good place to see a concert. Easy to get in and out of. Nice when you can stay overnight at the hotel so you can enjoy a few drinks and not have to worry about driving home

For as long as the Star Plaza has been operational, they have done a great job booking entertainment here. Ranges from country, pop, rock, classical, plays, etc. You name it. The venue is not that large, so you can basically get a decent seat. One word of caution - the first few rows in the middle are not the best seats as the stage is up and you will end up with a stiff neck after a while. I'd opt for a few rows back if you're going to pay the price for close seats. The upper seating is fine as well, and I prefer the first row upstairs as there is nobody in front of you and you can actually lean forward and the view is good. As far as restaurants - there are some that are attached by the hotel that are decent, however if you drive off property - either direction you go you will find lots and lots of eateries for every like. You will also find shopping, shopping, shopping. If you stay on property at the hotel, it's just ok - the pool area is right in the middle of everything, so if you're in the pool, you will be seen by people in the bar and sitting area. Not something I like, but it's a personal preference. There are many other hotels to choose from off property however. I'm sure you will find an act or two that you would want to see here, and for the price and location off the interstate - it's a great bet.

We went to see American English in concert and it wasthe best Beatles tribute sincw we seen years ago at a Beatlemania concert. We had good seats and the staff was helpful and friendly. The only negative thing is that there should have been more beer stands open that nite. Other than that the theatre was very nice. Will go back again.

The "Salute to the 60s" concert held at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville is so much fun to see! Seeing 3 1960s bands perform during the 2 1/2 hour show takes you down memory lane. The 3 bands we saw were: The Grass Roots, The Buckinghams, and Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone. If you like 60s music, plan to see this show in 2014 if it is offered again. This show is usually held anually in late January. It is top notch!
