Owner description: Squire Boone Caverns is a natural wonder attraction that provides guests a respite from their plugged-in, technology heavy lives. Squire Boone, American pioneer and legend, discovered the caverns in 1790 and soon built a thriving settlement centered around Boone's Mill, which is still operating today. Rich in history and geological wonders, guests to the Caverns will leave with plans to visit again and again. Along with the cave tour and Historic Boone's Mill, activities at the Caverns include: Indiana's Largest Rock Shop and Gem-Mining Sluice, the Soap Shop, Hannah Boone's Candle Shop, homemade sweets and savory lunch options at the kitchen and a nature trail to simply take some time out. For the adventurous, make a reservation for the Squire Boone Caverns Zipline Adventure. The tree-top canopy course is family-friendly (a smaller zipline course is available for those who may not meet the height requirements). The complete tour through the beautiful grounds at Squire Boone Caverns includes 6 canopy zip lines and a swinging suspension bridge. Squire Boone Caverns Zipline Adventures is ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) certified for installation, maintenance and operation, so you can feel secure and concentrate on having fun!

This is an odd little place.

Most everything here is outsourced from somewhere else. Gift boxes from Dollywood, rock candy from Disneyworld. Odd.

For instance, I bought two sling-shots from the gristmill for $1 a piece...since they said "Perry's Nut House" on them. SAME EXACT thing up in the gift shop, branded "Squire Boone Caverns"....13 bucks!!

As far as the cave?? Great starter cave for kids. Tour takes an hour, and there's lots of water.

Got a groupon deal for ziplining...GLAD I did! We had a great time! We went on a Friday so things did close early in the day but we got to go to the candle shop, very nice staff. We had enough time to go through the cave and we really enjoyed it. Our tour guide, David, was very knowledgeable and we learned a little history while there. We then went ziplining. It was all of our first times. Our guides, Matt and David, were very friendly and made the experience more enjoyable. I would recommend this attraction to anyone wanting to spend a fun filled, adventurous day with family!

Got there and everything was closed. Nothing opened until 15 minutes before tour. Zipline tour was just okay for what we paid. Got it through Groupon, but wouldn't pay full price. Staff not very friendly. Just way out of the way and not worth the time or money

Squire Boone Cavern was a very neat place to visit.. The guides are knowledgable of the history behind the cavern.. The formations within the cavern are beautiful and well preserved. It was a great adventure and well worth the time and money.

We had a Groupon to use. We could only visit the gristmill when there were fieldtrips going on, but fortunately there were some this day so we got to see the inside. The cave itself was different because the main entrance was blocked, so we entered through the gift shop exit. This allowed us to see everything twice. And we liked the demonstrations here, like the candle making. Obviously not as big as Mammoth Cave, but certainty worth the visit.
