We wanted a room with a jacuzzi tub for our anniversary weekend trip. We were checked in very promptly and our room was clean and waiting. Having the jacuzzi in a little ante-room was nice. Be careful though because the tiles and stairs leading to the jacuzzi got very slick and the tub was hard to get out of with no rails or anything. We killed three spiders in the tub ... two before filling and one was found floating. Other than that, it was a nice visit. The continental breakfast had a nice selection of food and all of the staff in the hotel were very polite and helpful.

When I booked this room, wanted a king suite. Was surprised when I got to the room that it was the honeymoon suite.. Something should have been disclosed. But check in was a breeze the ladies at the desk were very polite. The lobby areas were very clean and the house keeping staff always greeted me. I did not take advantage of the continental breakfast except for coffee but it did look nice. The honeymoon suite was clean but very drab looking with outdated decor. The floor around the air conditioner was wet but I did not feel the need to complain about that. The in room jacuzzi was very nice.
The only negative thing we experienced was that on our last evening, our room got missed for cleaning. They said it was because we had the "do not disturb" sign up. But that was not true because before we left, I tucked it in my purse.

When I told the girl at the front desk, she politely offered to bring some up to the room. This hotel is close to the state park, downtown Madison. But do not expect convenience for this small town. It is in a residential area. Everything is out of the way. Not much choices except a pizza place, McDonalds, BP gas station. Walmart and everything else is a bit out of the way.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Madison, Indiana at the end of May 2009. The hotel was clean and friendly. Our room had 2 queen beds, refrigerator, microwave, color tv, and wireless internet. The indoor swimming pool was unique, but nice. it wasn't too big and had no jacuzzi, although it had 2 places built into the pool that you could sit on and have the pool jets hit you. The free breakfast was good as well.

We visited nearby Clifty Falls state park, which we recommend. The bigger falls are on the north end of the park.

Overall, we recommend this hotel if staying in the Clifty Falls/Madison Indiana area.

The Comfort Inn in Madison was nice. Not downtown, but close to downtown, Cliffty Falls, and Hanover College. Breakfast in the morning was deluxe with biscuits and gravy and hot waffles. The room was clean and decor fairly new looking. The only bad thing was the craftsmenship in the bathrooms was not good, however the bathrooms were clean. We will come back to this hotel every year. But next time, I will ask for a room facing the back of the hotel. I could hear every motorcycle and car that pulled into the parking lot.

My husband and i stayed at this hotel despite the negative reviews, and I'm glad we did. From the moment we checked in, we found the staff very pleasant and helpful (thanks Julie). Our room was very nice with a clean and comfortable bed. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. The only negative that we experienced was disrespectful people slamming their doors early in the morning but that was in no way the fault of the hotel.
