My husband and I just spent a lovely weekend in Madison, Indiana and particularly enjoyed our stay at the Iron Gate Inn. This B & B has been lovely restored and is beautiful, comfortable, and well-managed. The rooms are spacious with decor fitting an 1840's home, but with all the modern updates to plumbing, lighting, and creature comforts in bedding and service.
Our room- the Glen Ellyn, had a wonderful second story porch where we were able to sit, relax, and talk with friends who also stayed at the Inn. They also enjoyed their stay and it was wonderful to have an area to be together that wasn't in one of our rooms or out in a public area.
Our breakfast was deliciously prepared and graciously served in the large, high-ceilinged dining room. The breakfast menu included macadamia french toast, bacon, fruit salad, cinnamon rolls, juice, coffee, and tea. This B&B is a real find!
