Almost every time I go to Argosy I either win or break even and have a good time- I have won a lot of jackpots there and always enjoy playing there-

Its my favorite in the area!!

I stayed at the Argosy 2/13/06 to 2/15/06 and thought it was an excellant hotel and casino. The rooms were big and clean upon our arrival. The food at all the restaraunts was excellent. The slots were some of the loosest I've ever encountered. My only complaint is that finding a table game open is hard. They usually only have half of the tables open which can be frustrating when you want to play craps or blackjack but overall an excellant experience and can't wait to go back.

Be prepared for quite a hike from the boat to the hotel. Other than that, the Argosy is a great place to stay and gamble. Buffet was reasonably priced and tasty. The room was only $69, and included triple-sheeted beds, flat panel wall mounted TV and decent toiletries in the bathroom (which included an exhaust fan, something that is often missing). I'd definitely stay there again.

The Argosy knows that most people won't dive the extra distance to try a different casino, and the treat you accordingly. Most dealers are appathetic, and the pit bosses are very slow. The table mins are mostly $15 , and a few are $10. The casino can be quite crowded in the evenings, and can have a loud college kid crowd at times. Afternoons are usually the retirement community folks. There also never seem to be enough servers. The buffet is better than most. The hotel is nice and clean.

I think my biggest problem is you get the feeling that they know people will come no matter how bad the service is. At the other boats which may be a longer drive and not be as big have dealers and pit bosses that go out of their way to talk to you and be friendly.

If you are looking for a close casino, the argosy is the place to go. If you want cheap tables and good service keep driving.
