“Smell bad, otherwise fair”
Reviewed October 18, 2009

I was mostly impressed by one of the receptionists - she was very friendly, reasonable and helpful. The location was convenient. The thing bothered me the most was the smell: when I just walked into the door, I was overwhelmed by the odd smell - felt like the room was unoccupied for a very long time and the air had not been circulated. The smell ruined almost everything: you would feel yourself rotten there by staying there just one night. I would not go back.

A little dirty, door was slightly broken. Otherwise mostly fine, cheap hotel for a quick overnight stop.

I got a double room for 39.00 + tax, which added up to about 45.00 total, which is the rate for a single room. I thought it was a good deal, especially since internet access was included. I checked in late at night and expected to stay in town for two days. I found that the room was old, it had a moldy odor, didn't have a coffee maker, and the bathtub didn't drain while showering. Since it was late, the price was OK, and I needed to take care of other business in town, I decided to stay. However, in the morning I complained about the shower drain and the staff offered to move me to another room provided I pay the standard rate. I agreed. The second room didn't have the musty odor as the first room, but had the following problems:

Alarm clock completely broken
No refridgerator
No microwave oven
Door latch inoperable
Hot water at the sink but not in the shower
Peeling paint on the walls

In addition, guests must go to a locked room next to the front office to obtain ice, sodas, or to use the microwave (if one isn't provided in the room). If you have a room in the back, this can be a long walk in the rain, wind, or cold. There are no cold drinks or ice anywhere else in the motel.

This hotel is a convenient stopping point for people in transit. The internet is credit card based through T-mobile. The rooms are very clean and rates are reasonable. This hotel is popular with OTR truckers so expect multiple big rigs in the lot for the night.

  • Liked — Inexpensive, close to highway
  • Disliked — Noisy, not many ammenities

I stayed here Feb 2006 and found the hotel very modern, comfortable bed and clean. No hairdryer in the room (ask at desk when checking in) nor Iron, or coffee maker.
THey had a coffee machine in the office. The price was right for a basic hotel if thats what you want. Front desk was pleasant and helpful.

I realize this is a budget hotel, but they should have paid me to stay here. The only reason I didn't leave was because every room in the city was booked. Conditions were deplorable. The room was dirty, clammy, and wreaked of mildew. The service was even worse. The front desk worker filled the front desk reception area with a complete cloud of smoke and proceded to blow smoke in your face as she spoke to you. Many of the lights in the room didn't turn on, the tv hardly worked and the curtains had what looked to be bullet sized holes in them. Bad experience, very bad experience.
