Description: Nine Irish Brothers is an award-winning traditional Irish pub--recently named the Best Irish Pub in the State of Indiana by Yelp and Buzzfeed--with two convenient locations in Greater Lafayette, Indiana, and a third location in the heart of Massachusetts Avenue in Indianapolis. Our family-owned-and-operated restaurant serves premium Irish food and spirits and has a full bar and menu, with items ranging from salads to steak to Irish favorites such as Guinness Stew, Shepherd's Pie, and Fish & Chips. Well-behaved patrons of all ages are welcome from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless circumstances prohibit minors (e.g. large, rowdy bands). Nine Irish Brothers is proud to be smoke-free. We also feature live Irish entertainment on most weekend nights. We take reservations for parties of six or more people.

“2nd time here”
Reviewed December 31, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

This was the second time we overnighted in Lafayette, IN. And as it turns out, the second time we were recommended to Nine Irish Brothers. This time, Lafayette has grown and NIB has a new location, though the building has the same layout, the same service (very good), and the same food (great). Had we stayed latter, we would have been entertained with local musicians.

“Fantastic service”
Reviewed December 24, 2013

We had a large group that was very well served. The food was good and the beverages even better. It was a bit noisy, but we contributed to that, too.

I would definitely return if I ever get back there.

It has been about a year since our last visit to this restaurant. The service has never been stellar, but this last visit was a joke. It was VERY busy sunday early evening and Purdue had their December graduation so that accounted for some of the neglect.
The seating is terrible on a good day,our seating this time was in direct flow of the double doors to outside so everytime someone opened the sets of doors we had terrible drafts.
Our server was scattered all over the place and simple requests took a long time or was forgotten. The food was very good-
I Have been to pubs in the UK and trust me the atmosphere is not at all like this place -they should stick to beer and pub grub that is easy to prep/deliver

“An authentic Pub experience--great food and beer”
Reviewed December 10, 2013

Stopped here for lunch after fleeing an ice storm on the recommendation of Trip Advisor reviews. Turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip. The dining area was warm and had a very authentic old world pub feel (we were told that almost all the furnishings came from Ireland). We were happy to be able to sit in front of a fire and have a few pints while waiting for our food. Shepherd's pie was good and the Fisherman's pie was great. Big portions and just as good as pies we've had in England. We were full and needed to hit the road again so decided to forgo the bread pudding--despite the praise from our server Jason (we told him it would give us a good reason to come back). To our surprise, he brought us a dish of warm bread pudding on the house and told us that this would assure our return. He was correct on two counts--the pudding was spectacular and we most certainly will be back. Thanks again Jason!
