“OK but a bit slow, price was good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

We went there on the spur of the moment - on Parents Weekend at Purdue without reservations - got a high top table in bar area without waiting - food was good - try the Crab Rangoon starter; of all the entrees - Crispy Orange Chicken, Crispy Walleye, Lobster Ravioli and Gnocchi - the Lobster and Gnocchi were the best. Price for 4 with two drinks, shared starter and no dessert - $91.00 before tip.

“Birthday dinner celebration”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2012

I made a reservation and told them ahead of time we were celebrating a birthday. Two of the people ordered scallops which were overcooked and very chewy. The other two entres were acceptable. Our server never asked how our food was nor if we wanted dessert or coffee and we had called ahead explaining this was a birthday celebration. We were not impressed with the food or the service. However being able to sit outside was nice. Since the food wasn't that good and the service was poor, we didn't ask for dessert. I have eaten at the Red7 a few times and would recommend it for lunch but probably won't be back for dinner for a while.

“Great food, great atmasphere slow service at times.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2012

I was not going to go here for my birthday because of all the bad reviews, but I am glad I did! The food was all wonderful and the waitress was very nice but kind of spacey. She would come by and look at our table several times and never come to check on us. We did get our food quickly just not our desert or check because she just kept walking away. But it was still a good time! The price was reasonable too.

“Great location, trendy atmosphere and underwelming”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2012

Service was great, location supper and drinks were terrific. We were there on one of the hottest days of the year, sat outside in the evening and listened to the symphony practice for the 4th of July show. It was awesome, felt very "big city". Beautiful resturant, great bar and a terrific vibe. Menu has changed a few times, but it's still completely underwelming. If you're going to do pizza anywhere and the request is for "well done" it shouldn't be crispy on the edges and soggy (almost mushy) in the center. I could understand a short, rather basic menu if you were going to offer some killer specials but there wern't any. Will go again for the patio and to experience the local music, hopefully the menu will be more inspired
