We booked early for for a family room to cater for 6 adults. We arrived receiving bedding for 5. After complaining, initial response was, "we thought 2 could sleep in a single bed". Finally, a sofa-bed was made up to accommodate the 6th adult. It was so uncomfortable, the floor was used in preference to the "sofa-bed". No hand washing basin is provided in the shower/toilet area. The kitchen "sink" is the only hand wash facility provided. Room divider advertised doesn't exist!! Undercover car park facilities are not suitable for anything above small car sizes. Exposed parking is OK. The morning complaint to desk staff was met with contempt. An apology would have been nice ... but really ... never expected one. Probably would have been better off sleeping in the Park adjacent to the Motel.

We have used a few Comfort Inns and this was similar to the others. Parking is underneath so have to take luggage a fair way.
The restaurant was not operating, but they did recommend some restaurants down the main street - there are several to chose from.
There were a couple of stains on the carpet which met us as we came in the door.
We had a king size spa room which was nice. Would have been better if they had balconies off the rooms.

Counter staff not very helpful. After being to other places & given an indication of where the room actually was this place was very lacking in customer service. Trying to find the hotel was hard as well as we arrived after 5pm, it was dark & the property sign wasn't lit. Even later it wasn't on. Partial room divider was for the kitchen area. The sink to wash the dishes, was the hand basin where you washed your hands. I dont find that very sanitary.

Geelong is a football fanatic’s dream location, and the hotel is right in the heart of it. Owner Mark and staff Jessica and Christine were on hand and helpful with all of the organizing. The restaurant is quaint and good quality room service. We had free parking and walked to the footy, the hotel is central to shops and restaurants and close to beaches. There is a laundry for guests to use as well. Rooms are large and spacious with modern decoration in an older hotel, families would fit in well. We suggest the “Spa’ room!

I recently had overseas guest visiting for a reunion and unfortunately could not accommodate all at my house so booked two rooms at Comfort Inn Parkside. One was a family room and the other a double room. I picked them up to join the festivities and was pleased with my decision in choosing this motel. The staff were very helpful and the rooms lovely. My friends loved the breakfasts, location of the hotel for shopping, access to public transport and also proximity to walking tracks along the river.
