“Amazing Authentic experience of rural Spain in a fabulous house and location.”

We have just returned from10 days at this beautiful property. The whole experience was amazing. The house is just as you find it in the photos. The owner Jesus is an amazing host and a real gentleman. He gave us so much advice and guidance including giving my husband a tour of the village, sending us texts to wish my husband a happy birthday and to let us know what was happening in the area. Everything you could possibly need is at the property ....right down to beach/ swim towels, pods for the coffee machine and dishwasher tablets. We were there with our three children who loved the municipal pool and the village park. We really hope to return soon to a place we have fallen in love with.

“Lovely rural house with perfect atmosphere”

This is one of the spots you will only find with a big portion of luck.
The house itself is quite old but completely renovated and perfect in every detail. We stayed there with two persons in total and it' s more than enough people. The kitchen is completely equipment. Bathrooms are from perfect size with walk in showers. The small tereasse at the roof top is one of the big points. Extremely helpful is Jesus the owner of cal Porxo. He is more than friendly and runs a small shop. We will come back again.

“Great rural property close to fantastic motorcycling roads.”

This is a lovely property in a rural village, giving you a taste of the real Spain. Watching the comings and goings at the bakery (when open) is great fun.
Beware of the town clock, which is 100m away and strikes 552 times a day!
The only fault we could find was the absence of air-conditioning - it was very warm & humid in September, and opening the windows only led to a fly invasion.
Also be aware that the 2 main bedrooms share a bathroom.
Jesus kindly allowed us to park our 2 motorcycles in his garage.
The village is isolated, and your own transport is essential.

“Very Special”
Reviewed May 2, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

A superb rural hideaway. The house is very well appointed on 3 levels, four if you count the small roof terrace. Comfy beds, good cooking facilities, good fridge, good showers etc etc... Little bakers shop nearby for bread and other essentials. Travel to nearby Falset for meat/fish/fresh veg for cooking dinner. Nice bar/restaurant about 150m away where we watched Barcelona playing footie on TV. The village is VERY quiet, but all the inhabitants you see will talk to you. Easy unload of cases and easy parking. The municipal pool only opens in Summer months, check locally and it's a bit of a climb so you will need a dip when you get there. The owner, Jesus is a first class bloke. Has the keys to the wine shop below where you can buy excellent local wines. Trust his advice.
