Small group and great guide. Tol will take good care of you and is flexible if you want to stop or stay longer. I would highly recommend this tour.

You will have a great time knowing how the whole water is pumped from the canals, the process of churning out oil from groundnuts and once you reach the top, the wind will blow you out literally, awesome feeling though
We bought a ticket valid for public transport which costs 13.50 euro for a 24 hour pass which includes all transport in amsterdam as well. You can catch the various buses from the river side of the train station. You can buy your ticket and get the public transport map from the train station or the tourist office outside the train station. We were able to go to 6 towns in a 9 hour period. We went to broek, edam, volendam, marken, monnikendam and purmerend. We tasted cheese, ate some fresh cod, viewed some churches, listend to some carillons, sheep and cows, canals and one windmill, saw old fishing villages and saw modern yachts and boats. There are lots of places to eat in the towns and a market in volendam on the weekends. The buses are public buses and so they stop at a lot of stops so it can take some time to get to the next town olus there are lots of different bus routes so check which one you need to catch. Each stopmhas electronic information on buses and times and the drivers were helpful as well and all spoke good english. You can also hire bikes and ride from amsterdam with lots of good cycle paths that are seperated from the main road.
I brought three friends who came to visit me from abroad for a eel workshop. They had the time of their life. They really liked the scenery and the the workshop eelsmoking. The food was delicious! The owner was very friendly and knew a lot about Waterland and Eel. I would recommend this to anybody who wants a real "holland" experience next to Amsterdam.
We had a fantastic day when we canoed through the waters of Waterland.
We saw a lot of birds and had a lot of fun. The guide had a lot of information we liked.

Drove to see an actual, working windmill. The experience of seeing how it worked, was only topped by the scenery. If you have a few hours to drive along the country-side, be sure to visit Waterline - Katwoude.
