Construction around this property is really frustrating. Hopefully it won't last too much longer because trying to get off and on the interstate got really old. The good news though, there are several restaurants within walking distance, so once we got back to the hotel the car stayed parked.
The staff is friendly and the property could use a little updating but it is still quite nice. The beds were comfortable and the room was pleasant and spacious. One strange thing, we were staying for a couple of days but in our King room there weren't any drawers to unpack our clothes to, so we had to live out of our suitcase. Could be a hassle if staying more that one or two nights.
We stayed on the club floor. It is one of the higher floors so even though we didn't upgrade to a river view their was still a partial view from our room. Hors d'oeuvres are served in the club room in the evening and breakfast in the morning. I was hoping the hors d'oeuvres would be something like the appetizers served in the restaurant but the selection wasn't anything exciting. They had little hot dogs wrapped in pastry, tiny slivers of cheese, and some really basic fruit (melons as I recall). I think their were a couple of other items but even though I was hungry it was easy to pass. Breakfast was very basic as well, a fraction of the usual basic hotel breakfast but sightly more than the promised continental breakfast. We did eat some scrambled eggs and toast but that was about it.
Overall this is a nice hotel with a good location and we had a pleasant stay here. If we stay in the area again we will definitely stay here but I'm not sure that I will pay extra to stay on the Club Floor again. If you are willing to pay extra for a nice view and a quick bite of breakfast then it might be worth it, otherwise I'd have to recommend trying one of the "traditional" rooms.
