Located on the River Walk in the middle of town you can see how the mill operated and even by some meal. After your mill visit. take a walk in the river walk or visit the nearby train station.

Great stop to get a bit of history. The volunteers are very knowledgeable about the mill and the surrounding area. They sell corn meal and wonderful pancake mix as well as other items.

The real look of the city mill is not as so attractive, it's located in the river side, you need to walk pass the bridge in order to see it. The river is also not beautiful, with yellow color water.

A bright spot along the walkway is the mill area. This building helps to bring people to the area to see a bit of history restored to the city of Jasper. I wish more buildings were taken down around this area to make even more improvements.

While it doesn't use the traditional method to get water to the wheel, the mill itself is still powered by the water wheel. I enjoy coming to learn more about the history of the mill and the differences between this and the Eckert mill that once stood there. The collection of preserves and sauces is awesome. Try the cherry barbecue or frog preserves.
