We stayed here for the 2014 Big Ten Basketball Tournament. The breakfast area was nice and bright. The food was good. The beds and rooms were comfortable. The location was quiet and convenient to a major road with a short drive into downtown. There were a number of restaurants close by. Overall, it exceeded our expectations.

In all fairness I arrived at 11 pm and checked out at 7:30 am. But the rooms were clean. The heater worked great on a chilly night. After a three hour drive the bed felt comfortable. Both employees I ran into were extremely nice. There are some eating options within walking or diving distance. Gas station not too far away. And right off the expressway. If I have another meeting in that area I would stay here again.

Great price.. very nice hotel staff.. Everyone single one I ran into. Even got a phone call after about 5 minutes to see if all was ok....however.. the room had a lingering smell that I pinpointed in the bathroom. Running decaf in the coffee making and taking a shower with the fan fixed that. I had to screw the doorknob back into the closet as it fell off when I opened it. I almost ruin an expensive pair of slacks by using the iron.. I think it had old coating of rust deposits or iron and put white specs on my pants.. I finally used a towel over my clothes to iron.. The stove and fridge and sink were nice... a bit outdated and the tv was hard to see from the bed. No place to sit for breakfast.. but all things considered the stay was ok, but I don't think I would go back if I was on business.

We stayed here for 2 nights while in Indianapolis. The staff was nice and welcoming. The hotel itself seemed well maintained and attractive, however our room was a little outdated. It was clean, however, and we didn't have any complaints. Our room was furnished with a fridge and microwave; great for traveling. The free morning breakfast menu didn't change on the days we were there, the food wasn't outstanding, but was adequate. Only about 15 minutes from downtown, so for a bit of a drive you can save money by staying farther out.

I will preface this by saying that I look for positives in something. The price was reasonable. Overall the property looks clean. The staff was ok, seemed to be less than enthusiastic when asked questions or made comments. My room had dripping water in the toilet. The mini refrigerator was loud. The HVAC's fan function did not work. The morning breakfast was typical, bland and lacked quality, but some properties try harder than others. The toaster did not work properly, burning half of the bagel and barely warming the other. I was told that it would have to be budgeted.

Coming home from New Iberia, LA, this was our last stop before arriving home in Michigan. The hotel was very clean, the staff very attentive, friendly and polite. Our room was wonderful. We had two queen beds and they were so comfortable. We really needed the good night sleep we got in these beds. Pillows were perfect. The shower was the best out of the four hotels we stayed in on our trip down and back. The sink was just the right height ... seems like all the other hotels have sinks that are very high ... like handicapped, but not in a handicapped room. There was a nice little "store" just around the corner from the pool and reception area that had ice cream and other goodies in it. Just right for a little "nite-cap". We didn't use the pool, but it and the area around it seemed to be clean. No hot tub, but we were too tired to care...we had driven 7+ hours to get there. We also enjoyed the close location of the steakhouse and other area restaurants. Breakfast was very nice. They had scrambled eggs and thin slices of ham as well as the usual muffins, toast, fruit, cereal & waffles, etc...

There are only two "cons" I can think of is that the door to our room did not close securely unless it was pushed very hard. That was just a matter of watching what we were doing when we went in and out. And, the air conditioner was very noisy. It sounded like it was an old model and needed to be replaced or serviced. We did not mention this to the management, though. We were able to sleep through it, but it would have been nice if it hadn't been so loud.

We definitely will consider this hotel again when traveling south.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor and close to the side entrance. We parked by the side door so leaving wa...
