“The Best Local Doughnuts”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

If you are local to the southside, you know about Long's Bakery! They are Old School, a simple non discript building, doughnuts displayed in glass cases and on the shelves. The gals are usually powdered in flour and several are on hand to assist. There is usually a line Fridays and Sundays. You can call ahead and place an order to be picked up at a later time. They have an excellent chocolate pudding type of cheesecake (not sure how to describe) that is custom made and it is one of my favorites. Their prices are very reasonable. They have been in bussiness for many years and are one of thee best doughnut shops around!

“Long lines at busy (Indy 500) times; worth it!”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Don't miss this Indianapolis iconic bakery, especially if in town for the Indy 500. It's on the west side not far from the track; however, it's so popular that they run out of the fabulous warm, freshly-baked yeast donuts. Worth the wait.

“Best donuts ever made.”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Great variety, hands down the best, but bring cash, no plastic accepted.

Can get a single or the largest orders filled. Great service, friendly people.

“Always a favorite!”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

I've enjoyed Long's Donuts since I was a child. Now, over 65, I still love them. On my most recent trip I was fortunate to take my Mom & 2 sisters with me. We all enjoyed the sugary treats, laughed at our memories from childhood here & the melt in your mouth goodness that is only Long's! Don't miss an opportunity to visit & enjoy. Take cash, no charge cards allowed here.
