“Best fried fish I've ever had”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

There are other things on the menu- many others- but I can't go to this place without getting the their fish and chips (I can never get to the chips part because there's so much fish!) It's crispy, the fish is flaky white and delicious, just perfect. The atmosphere is very pubby and charming. There used to be a gas fireplace in the room we were sitting in, but it apparently hasn't worked for a while, which is a shame. Other than that, though, it's a great place for a yummy meal. Check their ads, as I think they offer 2 for 1 on the fish on Mondays sometimes.

“Going out of business .. They just don't know it...”
Reviewed November 5, 2011

One of our past favorites is fading fast.. The lot at Scotties was full as well as the restaurant on other side of Claddagh, Coopers Hawk. Claddagh had about 8-10 cars at best. About 5 guys at the bar and maybe 3 tables besides ours. Service was dead slow, salads looked like greens I'd throw out at home. Wings and a piece of fish came out hot.. Thankfully they can deep fry.
Same old tired decor and crappy TVs ... To bad, we used to like it here. A good plan for owners / managers might be to have lunch next door, either way, and see what's drawing the crowds. Next, wake up the servers and kitchen. Throw out stale bread, old greens, and fuzzy, poorly placed TVs.

“Fablous”
Reviewed April 22, 2010

We chose this restaurant from the AAA tourbook and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, the staff helpful and friendly, the drinks fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and would go back again if I was passing through.

“Decent food...horrible service”
Reviewed October 20, 2009

Visited for the first time last night. Food was decent..nothing great, but not bad. Service was horrible! Waiter was pleasant when he was present, but once he brought our food he didn't return until were finished. My daughter wanted dressing for her salad...very dry and yet had to eat it that way since the waiter never returned. Had already asked another waiter if we could order because our waiter hadn't come back once he delivered beverages. Not impressed!
