Excellent food, drinks, and service. Atmosphere needs to be cleaned (dirty tables and floors) and updated. Great location with little shops, walking rails to trails hike, etc. nearby on NE side of Indy.

We took my daughter Anna and her three children here! They are part Mexican and they love Mexican food! We love the atmosphere and the service is great too! You have to get there before the lunch crowd to get seated though because it is a hot spot in the middle of Broad Ripple! You can watch people walking or running on the Monon. They have outdoor seating but we were there when it was too chilly to eat outside! We will visit many times this summer, I am sure!

I had heard so much about La Piedad that my husband and I decided to try it. It has a lovely atmosphere, very casual and friendly. The service was wonderful, attentive and friendly. The food was good, much like several other Mexican restaurants in town. I guess I went looking for something special. My husband and I both ordered combo plates; he had tacos and a beef burrito and I had a beef tostada, quesadilla, and tamale. All of our food was good except for the tamale. I get fresh-made tamales at a local farmer's market and these were definitely not fresh. I would go back next time and try what other reviewers have had such as steak tacos, fajitas, etc.

We love this place. It is a must-visit whenever we are in Indanapolis. I have fallen into the habit of ordering the Tacos de Carne Asada, which comes with beans and very fresh pico. My daughter gets the a-la carte steak tacos which are the same thing, but no side of beans.
They make a very good margarita, and the chips and salsa, by which all Mexican restaurants should be judged, are terrific.
They keep the deck open as often as the highly-variable weather and climate will allow. There is almost always soccer on inside, but I recommend the deck. show up early if you want an outdoor table.
The five (?) brothers who run this restaurant offer very efficient and speedy service.

I'm from California where Mexican food is plentiful, not so much in Indy. The mexican food out here usually is not authentic, not so here. The carne asada tacos were great. Only downside it does get pretty busy for dinner and margaritas are a little pricey.
