We stayed in the Garden Room, which is spacious, and has a full kitchen if you need it (full size fridge, stove, double sink). However, the steps down to it are hazardous (it's in the basement). The steps are very steep, shallow, and have high risers, and there is no hand rail. Very difficult to negotiate with luggage (or even without!). Seems like an accident waiting to happen. At a minimum, it needs a handrail. The fanlight did not work in the bathroom, but as long as the door was open, it didn't steam up. We were not told about the butler's pantry for guests (I learned about it the second day while reading the materials in the binder in the room). Breakfast was just OK, nothing special. Could hear the proprietor's TV until pretty late at night, although it wasn't too bad.

Room Tip: Avoid the Garden Room unless you are young, have good balance, and very small feet.

This was me and my boyfriend's first B&B experience and we couldn't be happier! Comfortable, clean & had character. It was extremely affordable and would recommend it to anyone! We only stayed one night passing through but it was in close distance to restaurants and Mass Ave.

Beautifully decorated with comfortable rooms. A pleasant host and delicious breakfast. Convenient location to downtown from this charming neighborhood. Be advised that nearby trains can be heard from rooms.

My husband and I stayed here after a concert in downtown Indy. The loft room we had was very cute, clean and comfy. The walk to the concert was not bad at all. I would stay here again. I agree with some of the other customers about the look of the manager. He wasn't exactly dressed to impress. We missed breakfast, so I can't say anything good or bad about that, but I would recommend this place to others.

Stayed in one of the loft rooms for 3 nights. The room was comfortable. Neat loft area for bedroom. Also had kitchen and dining area.
Hot breakfast on Sunday was stellar. Tom the innkeeper was great and very accommodating. Location was close to downtown and active nightlife. We will definitely be back!

Had a great stay. The welcoming atmosphere, clean and authentic style and wonderful hotel owner/manager (Tom) really made my stay in Indianapolis fantastic. I will certainly stay here again next time I visit Indianapolis. Tom is the best and they'll take great care of you at Stone Soup Inn!

Room Tip: The Lily room was very nice!
