Wow, what a great day at the fair! There's plenty stuff to see & do. Animals, tractors, machinery, concerts & carnival rides. I especially like the machinery demonstrations at the pioneer village. The steam tractors and hit & miss engines are the best. The weather was perfect. There's tons of food vendors. There's deep fried everything. Sweet treats, drinks and endless goodies. Yes, it can be expensive. Look for discount tickets or discounted days. This year included metal detectors. It slowed down the entry but I understand the importance of protecting the fair goers. Slow down and look at the animals & judging competitions. Take it all in. It's good to see young people still interested in going to the fair.

The pineapple whip booth near the Expo Hall is not to be missed. Also love the elephant ears from the red barn. Don’t miss the Fine Arts building to enjoy the photography exhibit, quilts, and craft items. It was fun watching children participate in the watermelon seed spitting contest. Try to go on discount days as even then it’s not inexpensive.

Took my son to the State Fair we had a great time.
They had a circus this year which was awesome.
But the prices are just way to high.
How can a family with more then 1 child even afford it.

Went to the fair today. The Best thing at the fair this year was the Circus. They show at 1pm,4pm and 7pm daily. It was fantastic! I didNot like the fact that there was noticeably a lot LESS Police presence. I did not like that because of where the fair is located. As I walked down the Monon Trail I saw a huge hole in the fence. The Sadi Bobi lemon shake ups are the Bomb! Pork on a stick is yum! Spaghetti Eddie is Yum and so is the Pork tent. All the food is good at this fair.
I dont know why thy dont have more officers but if it is the same next year(decreased police)I doubt I will come back.
