We went there with small children and tried about six tapas, which showed up very quickly and piping hot. On a Friday evening, there was no wait for a table. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced. Favorite tapas, the traditional tortilla espanola, but our two desserts: a Spanish brownie and the Tres Leches cake, were terrific, too.

We decided to try several places in downtown Indy by stopping in for a drink and small appetizer. Barcelona Tapas is a charming place from both the outside and inside. The exterior appearance makes you want to come inside. We sat outside and it was a beautiful day.

We had checked out their menu on-line and wanted to try the tequila-tini and a tapas. Oh my, the tequila-tina was really good and we ended up having two and several tapas dishes. We tried the garlic bread with goat cheese and marinara, garlic shrimp and crispy fried artichokes. All were good, but my favorite was the shrimp. The garlic bread tapas was average, nothing special.

We has excellent service and everything was delivered promptly. All the food was super hot and fresh. We had a great time and would go back again. One exception; one of the tequila-tini's is plenty.

This restaurant is within walking distance of all hotels in the downtown area. It's right behind the Mass Ave shopping district. If you are out doing a pub crawl or just want to try several places like us, put Barcelona Tapas on your list.

It was OK. The food was disappointing - olives that tasted like they'd come from a can, mushrooms the same. Garlic bread that appeared to have been made by sprinkling garlic powder on French bread. However, the atmosphere was fun, and it looked like most of the other customers were enjoying their food. I would give it another try - but not for tappas.

Indianapolis does not have a large Spanish community, but there are enough of us who travel to Spain often enough to know that this is far from a reasonable tapas restaurant. The food is average, not particularly good, and does not resemble Spanish food very closely. The servers do not seem to understand much about what tapas are what they are serving. It's an OK restaurant, but not if you are looking for authentic Spanish tapas.

Love this place in downtown Indy! Been here many times. This time, however, the service was terrible. Still waiting on some of the items we ordered to be delivered (it's 2 weeks later...). Not sure what happened here, but this is usually not the case... The food is excellent. Great for carnivores & herbivores alike... Love the goat's cheese & red sauce, love the chickpeas, love the fried artichokes, love basically everything on the menu... Great red Sangria! Great for groups, just make sure to call ahead. Loud environment, so if you or your kids are sensitive, may want to go really early... Love, Love, Love this place!
