“2014 Big Ten Tournament”

We were here for the Big Ten tournament. The downtown (surrounding area) is quite nice with many restaurants, hotels and a mall within walking distance between sessions. Parking in the area wasn’t too outrageous, most ranged from $10-20 for 24 hours. Our seats were center court, but midway up the upper deck. Not a bad view of the court from up there, and the jumbo screen above the court was like watching a TV at home (if you wanted a close up view of the action). No alcohol at the tournament, but assume that was just a Big Ten policy. Recommendation: don’t bother with anyone holding a “tickets” sign, a wad of cash or stack of tickets. The scalpers are ridiculous. They tried buying our championship tickets (face value $60 ea) for $5. Try going to a sports bar instead – we averaged just under face value for our two sets of tickets with minimal effort after deciding to head home early. Sad to see the Big Ten is returning to Chicago next year. While it’s a similar distance for us, we likely won’t go… we like Banker’s Life and downtown Indy much better.

The venue was easy to find, well layed out and had lots of Franchise for food and drinks.
Try to get seats downstairs its a long way to the top.

Overall a good venue.

This is a really good place for just about any show. From Cirque du Solei to a Basketball Game. The only bad thing is the "Nose Bleed" sections might make you a little uneasy. You get the feeling that you are going to tumble down the stairs, as they are a little steep. Other than that it is a really good place for a Concert tooo ~~~

Once people were allowed inside, they weren't allowed up the stairs and into the show which left the lobby area overcrowded and hot.

We watched the Indiana boys state finals while we were in town. There were a lot of neat exhibits to see and read about, didn't look to be a bad seat and the video board was awesome. Easy to move around the arena and we had a nice experience.
