Once in a while, you stay in a hotel which does not feel comfortable or pleasant. It happened to me in Indianapolis staying at Homewood Suites downtown. Location is OK, it is an old building transformed into a hotel in 2006. The rates are rather high (about $200/night), so is the valet parking ($29/night). Personnel is very helpfull.
Problem was the suite. Though very large with full kitchen and separate bedroom, the atmosphere was cold, dark and unattractive. This was partly because the lack of daylight (room 219 facing a blind wall). Though the bed was good, sleeping quality not so because of loud sounds early in the morning (starting 4:45 AM), as if doors were slammed. It also need some refurbishment and the place was quite dusty. Housekeeping could be better. Free breakfast was OK, but rather standard.

Room Tip: Room facing the street on highest possible floor

This hotel offered more than I expected. The room is very clean and spacious. And the hotel is in a very convenient location. I will definitely stay here if I come back to Indianapolis in the future. Highly recommended!!

This hotel 8s located in the center of almost everything you would like to do.I would suggest staying on 1-4 floors they are awesome. We stayed on the 5th still nice but not as advertised high ceilings. We will stay here from now on everything is close and enjoyed our stay.

What a great experience: breakfast comes with the stay and I must say it was
superb. BUT The great thing, or the greatest thing, in addition to he price, staff,
etc. was the fact that the SMALL pool somehow provides ample room for a swim
workout! This is essential for me and I can't tell you how thrilled i was.
Ysidro was my cleaning person and she could not have been more friendly and
eager to please. EVERYONE made you feel as if you were a stellar guest and
I would love to go back.

This property is great. I stay there every time I'm in the area. Staff are all super nice and helpful. The rooms are super clean and large. The location to the convention center and sporting arenas is perfect. Will stay again in the future
